Only downfall was we felt the weekend wasn't long enough.

Lovely room with a fantastic view of the minster from the window. Breakfast was delicious with a comfortable.portoon size. Hotel was very accommodating and did a great job of providing the birthday surprise of bubbles, flowers and chocolates with a birthday message for my wife. All of the staff were amazing and helped to make our stay a delight. Location couldn't have been more central with the minster on the doorstep as is the shambles and everything within a 15 minute walk meant we jumped alright into the city. Thoroughly recommend .

It needs double glazing as you can hear people on the street below at all hours. It needs a deep clean, and a few touch ups, other than those nit picks its great

Little bit of nighttime noise on street outside hotel room. Service trucks etc - not hotels fault. Bathroom was on the small side.

Location excellent for the old part of the city. Food also excellent including breakfast. Hotel full of individual charm and character. Staff v polite and helpful.

The location of this hotel could not be better. it is right in the middle of the Shambles - PERFECT! The staff are very proffessional and pleasant The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and high quality food would definitley return if coming to York again

The only negative comment would be that although tea/coffee making facilities were in the room, it would have been nice to have bottled water in the room and glasses.

Breakfast was included in our booking and was of a good standard and range. The hotel’s location in sight of Yorkminster is ideal for exploring the city as all the main attractions are within easy walking distance. The room was of a good size, ideal for a short break.

The bathroom was very small (however to be expected when selecting a small room) but the bathroom in room 14 was particularly hard to move around, so for our next stay we would select a larger room.

Perfect location for sight seeing and spending the day on a pub crawl, nestled right in the historic streets of York. The bonus of breakfast included, with a variety of choices, was brilliant too! The building itself is beautifully decorated outside and in.

The location was amazing. The staff were so helpful,attentive and genuinely kind ,considerate, and happy in their work. The service was amazing, and our room was very clean and very comfortable.
