How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We were awaken by a loud fire alarm noise but there were no explanations or apologies given, we were ready to vacate the building with our night wears then it stopped

The room was very noisy I could hear everybody passing the room and my room was next to lift it was a bit annoying.
It was very clean. Good location and friendly staff.

WIFI WIFI WIFI.. the signal in the room was almost not exist.. you should add to the room price the cost data bundle because you cannot count on the WIFI.

We had issues with the shower head flying off the wall and soaking everywhere, also struggled to regulate the temperature of the shower, it was either too hot or too cold. As the room didn't have a window (I knew that when i booked) it was way too hot in the room for me.
Room was ok for the 2 of us to use as a base for the city centre as fantastic location. Comfy bed. Although next time would pay extra for a room with a window as was very hot in the night.

We were placed in a room facing the Main Street and so was very noisy. Room was very dark and dated. They also charged £10 to keep bags after checkout
You get what you pay for, rooms are dates and dark but the beds are comfortable. Good location

Not sure what time the front door was locked but it was very easy access and a few undesirables outside that could have had easy access. The room was a bit dated as was some of the areas of the hotel. I guess the price reflected the events going on that weekend but seems high for the overall quality.
Great location. Very easy walk to a couple of Tram stops + train and bus stations. Good central point. Staff were friendly - the chap at breakfast was great, always said hello. The breakfast was great, not as listed (although I didn’t ask for anything specific from the options)

In desperate need up updating, bed springy and uncomfortable, tv was old, couldn't get netflix etc, smelt of weed as you walked in through main doors, headboard fell off when moving bed to find lost item (years of dust behind headboard) windows so dirty can can not see through them, key card kept on stopping working, no extractor fan in bathroom as not working, hairdryer had no protector over fan at back so my hair got tucked into fan and broke! Will not return at all

Very noisy. Any time I went to the reception to ask something there was nobody there. The staff was not really helpful or informative. The plugs in the room were way to far from the bed.
The location was the best thing.

Sometimes you could hear noises from bar customers or other guests.
Central location, only a few steps from restaurants and shops. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure and temp. Fairly clean.

Had no complaints with anything only thing that happened was fire alarm went off in room which was dealt with very quickly by staff
Able to come and go when I liked and in the City centre plus close to rail station which was ideal

The room was a bit outdated and the plumbing was quite loud. We were in a room under the roof with no windows. The room itself didn't feel very clean, especially the carpet, but the bathroom was nice and clean.
The best thing about the hotel is the location, which is just a short walk from the train station on the main street. The staff were also very nice and helpful. It's good for the price you pay.

Event I attended finished after 11 pm on a Sunday. I arrived back thinking I could have a nightcap but the bar was closed.
Location. Receptionist on arrival checked me in at 12 rather than 3pm which was great

For me a little too warm I had some difficulties with the wifi on my laptop, however smartphone was no problem
Hotel is right in the Manchester city centre! a great location Small room for one but it's ok with a good bed , table, chair and bath. Staff is friendly and helpfull
