Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This hotel is located just a 1-minute walk from Balham tube station. Excellent location. The staff whom I met were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was a good size, well equipped, very very clean, comfortable bed, great shower. No breakfast but, as reception told me, there are places 30 seconds away for breakfast so not an issue. The hotel was obviously well managed, everything was as stated online, better in fact.

GermanyThis has nothing to do with the hotel per se but I'd recommend people who wake up easily in bright rooms to bring an eye/sleep mask.
I really liked the location, the tube was only a couple of minutes walking distance away and there were lots of bars, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets around. With the tube it didn't take too long to reach central London. I really really liked the interior of the hotel as well, it was very clean, the room was bright and in a good condition. There was enough space for 2 hand luggages. The check in was very easy, we could also check in after the mentioned time. After check out, we were able to leave our bags there. The staff was very friendly.

LithuaniaIt’s next to the busy road, so if you’re a light sleeper- keep this in mind. We like to sleep with our windows open to have fresh air - weren’t able to do so because of the sounds. But that’s a small inconvenience really.
Loved the location, close to the metro. The room was cozy and clean, the bed was comfortable. The room had everything we needed, enough space for our stuff, a hairdryer, reading lights. We loved that we got extra tea in our room when we ran out! P.S. The fish and chips shop close to the accommodation was superb and the guy working there was the friendliest person ever!
