Absolutely fabulous stay with customer service that was excellent all the time. Room was perfectly comfortably behind the pub with immediate hot water. We enjoyed a very good breakfast and food from the bar...

Our room had a internal fire exit sign over the door, however at night the green light is very bright and we ended up having to put something over it.

Location was perfect for a Highclere Castle. Staff were very friendly. Bar food and breakfasts amazing Huge Car park, rooms are all outside. We had 3 rooms so we got a good overview of the rooms. Some rooms looked to have been renovated more that others but this is potentially the property plan, units in room a little dated and lack of cleanliness in some areas but nothing that caused a huge issue, For the price this is a lovely location

Everything about the rustic country pub was amazing. The pub was beautiful with its wooden beams and open fire. The food was very lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and were a pleasure to have a conversation with. Our room was comfortable and clean and was equipped with tea coffee biscuits and toiletries. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and relaxed.

The room is awaiting a refurb apparently and it shows, poor heating, very poor shower and no toiletries provided. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were excellent and made a great fuss of our dog. The breakfast was very good and the staff very welcoming Cheers John Foster

There are definitely no faults with your accommodation at this hotel

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the service is 110% professional in hotel standard and the whole staff are friendly and more than capable in their service towards your needs. Food is hot fantastic and tasty and very filling breakfast and dinner menu cannot be faulted for the quality of the food or the way the staff serve the meal to the table. The cottage rooms at rear of the hotel are perfect parking right out the door they are nice and spacious rooms and BIG bathrooms with walk in shower.

Friendly staff, breakfast was always good with different choices of a cooked breakfast, as well as cereal and pastries. Room was very quiet, plenty of parking spaces. Food at the pub was what you would expect for a local pub, good but basic - the lamb and mint pie was exceptionally good.

The mattress wasn't very comfy. We were awake very early both mornings, noise on site one morning at 5.15 (sounded like drilling) and sunlight the other day because the blinds didn't keep out enough light. The cleaning lacked attention to detail although the important things were clean. Bathroom lights took 10 mins to warm up to be bright enough.

The pub was lovely with an open fire and reasonable meals. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location was great for a visit to Stratfield Saye House. Shower was lovely. Breakfast was very good and the options available were very flexible. Rooms are a very generous size and the bed was huge. .

The coffee at breakfast could have been a little stronger.

The breakfast was cooked to order and very good quality. Plenty of additional fare such as croissants, pastries, juices, cereal etc. Service was friendly and efficient. The room, with attractive, exposed beams was very comfortable and cosy with a spacious bathroom.
