No bar, although I think there once was one, maybe not enough guests. Didn't have breakfast. Decor very tired in places, but staff were very friendly.

Very old fashioned hotel, but that is what made it quaint. Huge room, very comfortable bed. Nice bed linen and pillows. Didn't eat at the hotel.

The communal areas need a deep clean including the windows.

The room was really good, furnished with period furniture and looking out over the lawns. The hotel itself has clearly seen better days and smelt quite dusty. The receptionist was very friendly.

There was a problem with our bathroom for which the staff was apologetic..

We booked this hotel as it was near to where my daughter lives, but seeing rabbits in the grounds at breakfast was a bonus. The breakfast was well cooked and good value for money. We had an evening meal on the first night which was excellent.

Random dripping tap at 4 am in A38, having to walk outside in the cold to have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant in another building. Nothing modern updated facilities.

It wasn’t anything special. It reminded me of an old retirement flat conversion.

Great for parking and got local bus into town for drinks by the river and had a meal in town and bus back to hotel and close to catch ferry from plymouth to Santander spain great wayne.

Bathroom needed a bit of attention, toilet seat and cover would not stay up without being held, rather awkward for a male. Taps seemed to need turning a long way before water started to flow.Excellent shower though.

Excellent self serve breakfast with plenty of choice.

The hotel is suffering from a lack of updating; faded glory comes to mind. Sadly we were woken up late at night by loud banging and laughing and shouting from the occupants immediately above our room. We were in room 31 in the Coach House.

We had an evening meal (vegan) which was ample and tasty. Breakfast was ample too and my vegan husband was catered for. Thank you. The room was clean and bathroom very clean.

No fault of the hotel but the noise from the motroway was continuous. Maybe some double glazing.

Breakfast was good value and plentiful. Dinner menu was very good (apart from 1 starter). The staff were extremely kind and understanding as we had come to visit my dying Father locally who passed away the day we checked in. They allowed my siblings to come and find somewhere to reflect a few hours after.

The reception wasn't manned 24/7. There was no access to drinking water, ice cubes and snacks.

The staff were friendly and pleasant to talk to. The rooms were spacious, clean, warm and homely. Breakfast was adequate and hot. The staff waited on us too.
