I couldn't turn down the temperature on the shower. It was so hot that I had to get out and rinse myself off with water from the sink.

The steps...not that I did not like them, I live with a physical challenge which makes steps very uncomfortable for me.

I found the hostel easy to locate from Glasgow Central Station. For a first time traveller, I was impressed and relieved. The location also allows seamless access to nearby places like the Glasgow University which I also had to go to. An 8 minute walk was all it took to get me to the university, saving me a few pounds on transport. I also appreciated the information I received from the reception about nearest shops and restaurants, it came in handy as I needed to buy food on my first day. Well, I must say the beds are quite comfortable and I slept so peacefully. The rooms are spacious and clean and there was enough room for all of us sharing the space. My only wish is to get a room in the first floor next time I come. I have physical challenges (Knee problems) and having to go up to the third floor was a huge challenge but manageable. All in all, I loved my time at the Youth Hostel.

The room has nothing in it, we cannot charge phones, laptops, or anything. There is no light for each bed. In the bathroom, there is absolutely nothing as well. Beds were noisy every time we move

Our rooom was very very cold. Outside it was about 3-4 Celsius and windy weather. The quality of the windows were so weak, you could feel the cold wind in your bed. I was sleeping in double pants and sweater. We stayed only for one night, otherwise I would ask for change the room.

The only downside is you have to be prepared to be woken up by hikers getting up very early

The walls were a bit thin, so you could hear from the other room and the top bunk eas squeaky. But these are small things compared to all the amazing pluses!

This was an amazing hostel! A part of a rich neighbourhood, a really cool huge, antique house! With a nice lounge and game room.

Very quiet neighbourhood (after I trier Revolver hostel and Euro sth, this is definitely the best out of the three. Very friendly staff. Very comfy bed that are not cheap and metallic but in wood so very solid and not at all squeaky.

Breakfast was available as an extra, too much sugar in the cereals, it would have been good to get some plain yoghurt rather than laden varieties. Too much white bread. There were some good fruit options. Some plain oats would have been nice.

Location was safe. Some hostels have a drop off service to city centre, this is a big ask but would be beneficial in peak season.

Very safe and brilliant location. They keep it clean. The amenities are a bit sparce though. Np chargers near the bunk beds so had to go the night without charging and spend a while in the day charging it. Would be nice if they keep some free card/ board games for residents too. The views from Windows are spectacular

The partition between our room and the room next door was slightly incomplete as there was a window there. This was generally fine, but meant that we could hear our neighbours very clearly.

The view from our room was amazing. The facilities were great. The mattress was comfy (the beds seemed a little narrow, but still fine).

The staff were great and the room was just what I needed. The only thing. It was a little bit out of the way but it was nice and quiet.

Lots of stairs, I was in a dorm in top floor, the locks on shower doors didn't secure very well, one wouldn't at all! The breakfast could do with a bit more variety for the money, pastries, hardboiled eggs, different fruits, just apples or oranges while I was there.

The hostel was friendly, reception very helpful with advice for places to eat nearby. Plenty of space to relax in, lounge area's, smaller seated area's. Dorm room and bed clean and tidy. I liked the location away from main rush of Glasgow, great view over part of city, and near to Kelvin Grove Park, walking distance to museum and art gallery. The information board was a great idea. Breakfast was OK.
