Nothing. In April it was easy to street park for free close by even though most of the hotels & b&b.s. on the area don't have private parking

Newly renovated rooms in 2018. Great breakfast. Like the owners & staff who are all cheerful despite working so long & hard to get things 'just so'

No heating despite complaining of the problem, I was frozen whilst in the room. The shower dribbled water and I could not control the water temperature.

The room was clean and a good size. The breakfast was good.

The room was a bit noisy. There were pigeons rusting outside my window. They did not make too much noise, but the devices to scare them off rattled and made noise throughout the night.

Good breakfast. You have to walk to another building, but there was a good selection of things for breakfast (from continental to full Manx breakfast). Pleasant staff.

Nothing really. It was a bit strange to have to go to a different building for the reception, bar and breakfast but once you knew the system, it was no problem.

The staff were wonderful, couldn’t do enough for you, really friendly and helpful. The rooms were fine and spacious, all the beds had just been renewed and were really comfy. You had to go to a different building for breakfast but the breakfasts were also of a high standard. I had IOM kippers which were delicious. All in all, a very good stay!

The hotel water will stop after some time especially if you are planning to use the tub. I had a bad experience where the hot water got stopped in between while using tub. The toiletries will not be available for 2 people in the room. Everytime you will have to go and ask from reception. Me and wife came late on second day and had to manage with single set of toiletries. There is no lift in the property and stairs are very congested. So if you are not fully fit, you will find difficult to reach rooms in upper floors especially with luggage.

The place is very near to promenade and there is a request bus stop near to hotel ( stop number 6). There are lot of options for food since lot of restaurants are available nearby. The staff is also very helpful even though you will have to step out of the property and will have to go to HQ bar reception to collect keys.

Unhappy with accommodation and feel it is misrepresented with the photographs which are of the hotel you need to check-in to when staying at Glen Mona. Never a 4 Star property. Have stayed in better 3 Star.

There was a good choice of food for breakfast in the hotel we had to go to for our meals.

The owners and staff of the Glen Mona really understand what visitors want and they provide it. The food is delicious, the rooms are smartly decorated, the beds are comfortable, and the en suite bathrooms are clean, well designed, and have great showers. More than that, though, they get the details right: they're good at seeing the place from a guest's point of view. At breakfast, the butter is served at room temperature so it spreads on your toast instead of ripping it to pieces. The complimentary tea and coffee in the bedrooms is good quality, there's hot chocolate too, and two kinds of milk: a creamy one for coffee and a plainer one for tea. They've thought about the small things and it makes a big difference. Good as this hotel is, it may not work for everyone. The age and architecture of the building mean that there's no lift so you need to be OK with stairs. The wifi is a bit hit and miss too - there were times that I could get the signal at the end of the road but not in my room. That's a very minor point, though. There are plenty of things to enjoy about the Glen Mona and best of all is the staff. Unfailingly friendly and kind, they made a good stay into a great one. Throughout my holiday, I felt comfortable, relaxed, and well looked after. Give it a go.

The sleeping accomodation was separate from the restaurant. The room was very small It didn't feel clean The decor was very tired The linens felt grubby and well used The view was dreadful The wi fi and phone signal did not work either I couldn't believe it was marked 4 star. 2 at best would have been more accurate It was off road parking, so not on site and difficult to park close by. The reception in the annex was un welcoming Needs a big make over

The bar and restaurant linked to the hotel at the top of the hill was pleasant with good food and value for money. Mexican theme, great guacamole. Location close to the ferry port

The shower, which didn't like a cool setting - too hot for me. Anyone with mobility difficulties would not like the stairs to the different floors, though not a problem for me. No view from room - if that is something you want.

Room a decent size with a comfortable bed. Tea/coffee facilities excellent. Clean, light and modern bathroom. Good breakfast choice at the HQ. Bus stop 1 minute walk from the hotel. Situated mid way along Douglas promenade so you can walk to the town centre or the Electric Railway in 20 minutes.

The B&B part has very thin walls and you can literally hear everything that's going on in all the other rooms. Forget any idea of sleep after about 6 am. Having to walk for breakfast was a nuisance, but I imagine in wet weather, it would be a real pain. The food at breakfast was very good and the plates were warm but the actual serving area was a little chaotic to say the least.

The breakfast was very nice, although it's a bit of a nuisance having to walk the short distance to where it is served. The room was spotless.

The view from the window was of the other backs of hotels and due to pigeons, noisy and dirty. The other residents were very noisy late into the evening and first thing in the morning. There is no staff on site. You have to go up the hill and cross the road to the reception and for breakfast. The entrance hall smelt of old cigarette smoke.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good selection for breakfast.

The accommodation building is a converted townhouse so feels more like a hostel/flat than hotel. No staff present in the accommodation building. Sound of floorboards creaking and water running in pipes can be heard in the bedrooms. Small window in room and view is of a dirty/messy back alley.

Really friendly staff in the restaurant/reception area. Good self-service breakfast included in the price. Bright, airy restaurant. Room was clean and tidy. Everything worked. Free WiFi.

Very poor soundproofing of the room doors - I could hear almost every word my neighbours said through two closed doors! Breakfast staff sometimes couldn't cope and the hot buffet would run out or there would be no clean tables to sit at when you arrived. Bed a bit hard - could feel the springs.

It was quite noisy at times outside the hotel (on the street below) and the windows were not very sound-proof. This was not a major problem.

Location was within easy walk of Douglas main centre and just off the promenade. The room was a good size with plenty of tea / coffee, and a huge and very nicely done out bathroom. We stayed 4 nights. The beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful. They even made us a breakfast bag on the morning we left because we checked out before breakfast started in order to catch the ferry. There was plenty of on-street parking which was not restricted.

The Wi-Fi is terrible. You'd be better off using the free Wi-Fi at the ferry terminal. Sorry, but it really isn't of any use at all. In room 205, the lights above the headboard are WAY to low. You can't sit up in bed to watch the TV or read without hitting your head against the fittings or burning your head on the bulb. These were the only 2 things that let the Glen Mona down. If Wi-Fi is important to your stay, this hotel is not for you.

We were given a warm welcome even though we were a late booking for just one night. The food we had was excellent (nachos) and the bar had local draught ales and decent wine by the glass. Breakfast was cooked to order and the kippers were especially good. The provisions in the room from toiletries to drinks and biscuits were of a high standard and plentiful. Altogether we found it very accommodating as we were able to leave bags there even after we had checked out at 11am and leave them all day.
