Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room was in the Mews. (A room with views of the courtyard was the description on line). Accessed by walking through the building then out the back of the hotel onto a covered walkway.. The design of this metal walkway (and steps outside to the lower level) created quite a lot of noise when guests pulled their suitcase along it late at night and early in the mornings. This noise then travelled and disrupted our sleep, as could easily be heard and was undoubtedly amplified by the narrow outside corridor. Not much that the hotel could do about this of course other than maybe gently requesting guests to pick up their suitcases after midnight and before 6am. I would probably stay again at the hotel but would bring earplugs.
Excellent location for access to St Pancras and Kings Cross Stn and therefore all of the london transport system Clean and bright decor, smelled fresh too. Courteous and helpful staff. Nice breakfast room though didn’t eat breakfast there so also did t get the opportunity to dine in the Great Hall which is in a nearby building. A good size twin room for the price. Lovely bathroom and great shower, very comfortable beds with a generous amount of pillows.

Hong KongTBH - I wasn't expecting the room we got. We had to exit the old building via a metal staircase to the rear and were in outdoor rooms ( the room door actually opened to outside) The rooms were very modern, and were squeezed into the rear space of the building. I had booked the hotel specifically because I thought it would have old school charm. This was a special treat for my daughter and we both felt that whilst the room was OK (tiny shower room/toilet) it missed the reason we had picked that hotel which was to have a classical style room. Lots of photo's on the website show colourful rooms with lovely decor- ours was just a bit 'beige' and we could have been staying in a Travelodge! First appearances were that the 'lobby' (entrance hallway) if you can call it that was a little scruffy and under loved. We were underwhelmed by the hotel. Its location and the fantastic breakfast across the road in the college mitigated some of our disappointment.
Great location- easy walk to Russel Square tube. The staff were helpful. Breakfast in the Great hall of Goodenough college was a highlight of the stay - very good value and plentiful. The room was clean and the beds were comfy.

United KingdomOnly criticism is the room was near the entrance on the ground floor (302) and could hear foot traffic of other guests but nothing the hotel can do to stop this

United KingdomThere was clearly a family in the room above and the children were up before 6am, running around so that woke us up (the building originally would have been houses not built with sound proofing/hotel in mind!) it was a shame as the bed was comfy and was looking forward to a lie in after a late night. If people are in the courtyard/outdoor stairway talking the conversation travels/is amplified so also woke us up.
The room was so lovely, it was clean, spacious, comfy and stylish, beautiful high ceilings. The location was perfect, 10 minute walk from the station but not noisy with traffic as a peaceful square a few streets off the main road.

United KingdomNot environmentally friendly -Radiators on in all the communal areas with a 20’C outside temperature, windows open to compensate. Lights in the hallways didn’t seem to be on effective timers so on all night. Left over food chucked in the bin after breakfast. TVs on in communal areas. Just so much wasted energy…
Unique hotel, beautiful Grade 2 listed buildings, wonderfully quiet, spacious family room, fun to be connected to the College dining room, loved the cool floral fabrics and colours in the rooms.

GermanyThere isn't anything, really. Maybe it's a bit unpleasant in the yard buildings and that area is lacking direction as to where the rooms are. Would be nice to do a paint job, add some lights and more directions on how to find the rooms.
I had quite low expectations for some reason. But the hotel exceeded them easily. My room was located in the back of the building and was a bit unusual, but actually only at first. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable, and quiet as per request.

IsraelThere is no lift to the upper floors only steps. You will need to carry up your suitcases or ask for help from the reception to do this.
Nice cozy room. We had a room with a view on the park. The hotel is located in a quiet aria 10min walk to the underground. The hotel as separate entrances to the different rooms as it was build in different historic houses.

United States of AmericaMy main complaint was that the single bed in the room was very springy and not comfortable - I would recommend replacing it. The linens on the bed were clean but not particularly new and crisp - I moved to a different (more expensive) room the second night and the bed comfort and linens were noticeably improved. There is no elevator in this hotel, which doesn't bother me, but guests should be aware.
A cozy and well-decorated and smartly-designed single room overlooking a park - excellent value for central London near king's cross. Quiet. Extremely clean. Near Lamb's Conduit street with lovely little shops and bistros.

United States of AmericaIt is unclear what kind of lounge or common areas are offered within the hotel - the office itself is very small and not a place to relax while waiting for one's room, etc. The staff were sometimes very warm, sometimes quite brusque.
This was a very nice room with very high ceilings and a very comfortable bed - beautiful redecoration in dark blue with a huge blackout curtain in a floral pattern. A small, clean ensuite. The room overlooked the road, but I slept with earplugs and it was fine.

United States of AmericaFor the price, it was a little bit expensive. However, I do really enjoy staying in this neighborhood.
This was a comfortable, well-appointed room in a nice location. There was a kettle with fully-stocked tea and coffee selection as well as some biscuits. The neighborhood was quiet and, although I did hear some of the other hotel guests, it was fairly quiet.
