The view's of the harbour and the sea. It was very peaceful except for the seagulls. There was so much to see and experience in the surrounding villages and area.

Excellent location with fantastic views over the harbour, the property is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with everything you could want and more, situated in a very tranquil setting and the patio at the back is a little sun trap and very private

Nothing, everything’s fine.

We were self catering and the facilities were more than enough for our stay plus the flat is two minutes walk down to the restaurants and the chippie. There’s lots of everything you need and then some in the flat which is well furnished, has great views out over the sea with binoculars included, you can heat the place, if required, with central heating, a coal fire, or both. A seating area outside catches the sun all afternoon and into the evening. There are multiple tv options, dvd’s, books to read, games for the kids and even a box of goodies for them. Emma and Hamish live nearby and will respond to any requests you may have. A great area for touring and Gowan Bank is an ideal base.

Home from home it had everything we needed for a great mini break. The location was lovely with views out over the harbour and greats walks along the coast.

The whole accommodation was excellent and the views were fantastic. Handy to walk down to the pub and the fish restaurant instead of driving elsewhere to eat after a 6hour drive.

Superb self-catering apartment with views out over the North Sea in the charming fishing village of Gourdon. Excellent for walking or cycling on the coast. Friendly village with a pub, fishmonger/smokery and fish and chip restaurant. We hope to return there one day.

We love the view from windows and comfortable beds 🛌. In there we have feeling that we are at home we have everything there to make dinner, go in shower. Emma and her busband are simply brilliant x

Location was fantastic down by the harbor with an excellent sea view. The property was truly a home away from home, spacious and cosy at the same time. We didn't miss anything, so I can highly recommend this property!

Vey little. For a family of four it was perfect.

We have a vacation property ourselves and understand the detail that the owner has gone to, to cover nearly every eventuality. If / when we are in the area again we will definitely try and stay in Gowan Bank. The owner was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable.

There’s nothing to dislike!

This lovely homely apartment is set by the sea in picturesque Gourdon. It has everything you’d need for a pleasant stay and feels like a home from home. The owner was very welcoming and the accommodation is to a high standard and is very clean. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Excellent accommodation, pristine condition. Would highly recommend. Short walk to the pub and great fishing off the pier.

There were some staples in the cupboard (salt, pepper etc) but no oil which we had forgotten to buy at the shop - but that's a very minor quibble. Didn't actually prevent us from cooking as we just used the fat from the food itself.

Had a great time in this property. Lots of amenities provided and the host gave us a small tour and helped us with things we could do in the local area. Lovely décor. Beautiful views out the window onto the ocean, quiet and tranquil. Lots of walks in the local area and it was also very well located to visit Johnshaven.

Fairly steep stairs to the back door and tricky induction hob to operate. Maybe a grab rail for the shower for us oldies?

Great location, beautiful view, very well equipped kitchen and apartment. Spotlessly clean and spacious. Free wifi. Q 8 Great transport links to Stonehaven, Aberdeen, ¹and Montrose.Very handy for the Harbour Bar and Quayside Restaurant. Brilliant fishmongers, too, on the pier. Lovely welcome from Emma, the owner. Short journey to Inverbervie with excellent shops. Saw a whale in the bay one evening!

The toilet was downstairs and bedrooms upstairs, not a massive problem for us but would have preferred en-suite. Stairs to enter flat from the outside again not an issue for us but if you had an issue with mobility. Outside area at the house needed a bit of tidying up to look more inviting.

The fridge needs to be checked and ice removed from the cooler as we could not shut the vegetable drawer properly. This also created the problem of not being able to shut the fridge door tightly. The back court yard and stairs up to the cottage could also do with a sweep / hose down to make it user friendly.

Beautiful location, easy walk down to the village. The cottage was very large and comfortable. We enjoyed having a bath. Good wifi.
