the receptionist was extremely unfriendly infact i'd say rude, the once grand hotel is now very tired and much in need of a refurb but i suppose passible for the money[although happy with my room] the bed was possible the hardest matteress ive ever known in my life and was thinking that alone must lose the hotel many non returning guests, was there 3 nights 2 were quiet and fine the last which was a wednesday was a nightmare drunks shouting in the early hours someone banging on my door and wouldn't go and to finish off the fire alarm went off so definitely won't be back or fact to blackpool either quite frankly im better than that,

the location of the hotel was excellent very close to everything i was happy with my room nice bathroom and clean with a great view of sea and tower,

the grand hotel. the room we were put it wasn’t cleaned an all I was told an offered was oh I’m sorry we are short staffed an then got given a bin a bag.

we stayed at the grand as you were closed an it’s easier an amazing view of the seafront an down the street loomed lovely.

I booked meals but was told onarrival that no evening meals where being done this was not emailed to me and my mum comes on her own 83 and stops because she does not have to go out on a evening lucky i had gone with her yhis time will try somewhere else next time she has come for years there was no apology just where not doing evening meals spoilt our stay

Appears very rundown/ needs modernising. We had a room with a Seaview however the windows were that filthy you couldn’t actually see the view clearly. We had no towels for showers and we found out in the morning that we should’ve had towels after checking out! however the lady at checkout did offer us free parking for the rest of the day so we did appreciate this. However when checking The previous evening you would think there was some big rush/queue there wasn’t much customer service skills just “here’s your room!”

The size and the potential the property could have. We love some of the original features and the high ceilings. The breakfast staff were nice and welcoming.

Parking was completely full due to illuminations (which we didn't realise was on) - they don't have enough parking for rooms and the parking was why we had booked it. Luckily a paid parking structure about a 5 min walk away. Room was clean enough but definitely tired. No wifi or phone reception in our lower level room, but working tv. Shower pressure abysmal for hot water.

Location was great. Room was tired/dingy but sheets clean and bed comfortable enough. Acceptable for a one night 'need a place to crash'.

The room was not clean and rubbish was left in the room from the pass guest. I got an electirc shock from the extractor fan swith. the bath didn't work and the windows were so dirty.

The first room was filthy flys everywhere broken handles on the doors and fag burns in the bath tub went down and complained and got a move to a better one with a lovely sea view sadly we couldn't see it very well as the windows need a dam good clean . They need to get the window cleaners out ASAP. Apart from that the room was much much better and would stay in that one again .

The new room was lovely and spacious. Great side of building view of sea when you open the gaps . Glass needs serious clean

Bed was far to small .no chairs in room no air conditioning room was not cleaned properly first night no coca cola not busy but struggling with tumblers. Bar closes at 1030 no entertainment dont agree with residents paying for parking

Beds was really hard, bedroom was hot, no ventilation and windows only opened a tiny bit, big stains on carpet looked like sick, the noise from outside on a night kept me up most of the night (although that's not the hotels fault) the shower from upstairs room dripped all in our bathroom, parking your car is a nightmare also £5 for an overnight stay, get to the hotel early to avoid the mad rush for the parking, its cash only for drinks inside the hotel but no atmosphere and the gent who was serving definitely didn't want to be at work that night. Full of roudy

Location is really good, short walk from everywhere ideal if your just there to quickly get ready and go out for the night
