Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHotel generally looked tired and room basic. It seemed 'cheap' yet I didn't think that was reflected in the price.
Central location. Room was clean and quiet.

United KingdomOur room was a newly reburbished one and fine. It had everything we needed and was reasonable clean but my grandsons room was shabby with peeling paper and in need of an overhaul. Nice sea view except window were so dirty outside.
The property was in a good location has potential to be a lovely place. It’s clearly been a very nice hotel but is just sad and tired now.. and a little dirty. We stayed in one of the newly done rooms which was fine . We liked the pool table etc and though we didn’t use it, looked in the ballroom which was nice. The had a cabaret act on which although wasn’t too great they had tried to entertain . Staff at reception were pleasant .

United KingdomThis is not the hotel’s fault! But the floor I was on absolutely stunk of cannabis! I did mention this at the seat! Stunk all night. Also I had to pay for premium internet twice as apparently, you only get the area you paid for rather than the whole hotel! This was ridiculous, one payment should cover all areas! That was very disappointing 🤷🏼 completely unnecessary!

United KingdomThe bathroom stank of sewage... And not just like it had been used recently. It smelt like there was a leak or something. It's a bit rough around the edges but it was cheap and we only stayed one night.
Booked a room with no windows and got upgraded to one with windows. Ground floor room 002 beautiful high ceiling, large window and lots of light.

United KingdomNo room cleaning each day. This is fine but in this case provision of a loo brush would be a good idea. Parking an issue, I have limited mobility and found the walk to and from available parking spaces painful, not to mention expensive. I would have liked to have been able to open the window to my room even just a little to get some fresh air. I appreciate had I been able to open it a lot I would likely have got seagulls in my room . I like seagulls, but because they are treating the building as their home and currently raising their young, it is safest to wear a hat or umbrella when walking close to the building.
Location great . Still has an air of grandeur.

United KingdomBreakfast wasn’t great. When we stayed last time we had a great room, clean, modernish, good view and whirlpool bath. We paid for early check in so we could try and get the room that we asked for in the booking. They put us somewhere else. Mattresses weren’t comfy. We paid for premium WiFi which didn’t work. Parking wasn’t great, too little provision for too many hotels - the one we ended up parking in didn’t have a concession with the hotel so we had to pay a premium. Lifts once again out of order - my wife has mobility issues. We stayed a couple of years ago and same lift out of order then. We left it a few years as we were advised refurbishment planned but seems to be more of a focus on general areas and not the rooms. Also, doors don’t fit so compromise fire precautions.
Entertainment was good, staff good and friendly.

United KingdomThere were kids knocking on the door and running off. I had already told them not to at half 5 I'm the evening and stated that people have paid to be here they need to be more respectful and they decided to do it again at half 11 at night when me and my children were sleeping. Fair to say I was very unhappy.
The room was amazing and spacious and my children loved it

United KingdomThe food on sat eve was not so good and the staff seemed to be in a rush to go home. Also the lift was not in order while we were there for 3 days with a note on them stating that they would be repaired ASAP. We were in room 17 and the stairs were really bad for us as we reached the reception we are both in our 60,s and found it very bad. Also I reported at the reception that the curtain in our room had fallen off the track on the Saturday and the lady on the reception said she will report it and get the curtain repaired we could not have any lights on due to people going up and down the stairs which was outside and they could see in . So no we were not happy with the hotel facilities. The lift was still not working on the Monday as we were leaving causing us to carry our cases up to reception and the curtain pole was never repaired.
Evening entertainment was ok
