Please try to be a bit more creative with fresh fruit for breakfast. There is so much available on the market that this should be an easy task.

Excellent location. We routinely stay here. Great to have a comfortable lounge that stays open for late night drinks. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Our room servicing was hopeless. Continued failure to replace towels, shampoo/shower, coffee, milk etc. Out cleaning lady spoke zero English and yet despite showing her the items we would like replaced daily it didn't happen

Staff in reception area were exceptional. Hotel is very well located and had a classic charm..would stay in Gem hotels again

The property is really beautiful! The only thing is the room for two people with a full bed is VERY small. But that is also just life in a big city. Otherwise the stay was great! The location is very quiet, especially at night. We did not have a hard time sleeping. I would stay again despite the small rooms!

Furniture layout could have been better to maximise space. Personally I found the pillows uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker.

Beautiful building with lovely attentive staff who were always very happy to help and welcome you with a smile.

Fantastic location for the Royal Albert Hall and local museums. Easy walking distance. Very historic house. Breakfast was help yourself buffet which was adequate.

The room is small and no Air conditioning. After having a bath room becomes to hot and humid. The room is also noisy.

The location is quite good. There are many museums and shops around.

The decor and furnishings were dated. There was just sufficient space. The toilet didn't flush very well and the seat wasn't properly aligned. The basin didn't empty easily.

The central location. Proximity to Gloucester Road tube station and shops. Short stroll to the Royal Albert Hall. Feeling of security in a high status neighbourhood. The room was very clean. Good shower. We would definitely use the hotel again.

£24 each for breakfast was over the top and with a family of 4 for 3 nights was not valid for money or justified, so declined to take up the breakfast. Staff were not very enthusiastic or engaging. Room did not get cleaned after our first night even though we are out of the room until late afternoon.

Excellent location, historic significance. Rooms had everything needed

For what we paid for 2 nights it was great. It was supposed to be a superior double, but the room & bathroom were small, but for what we paid, can’t complain about that. We only wanted as a base & therefore great value for money in South Kensington.

We wanted something close to The Royal Albert Hall & had originally booked another hotel. I changed to The Gem Strathmore at the last minute, due it being over £100 cheaper than anywhere else in the area. Location is great, near the RAH & plenty of pubs & restaurants within stones throw. Staff were very friendly & room was clean. Didn’t have breakfast in hotel as ate out, but dining hall is beautiful & lots of people used. Bar area looked very regal & historic. Staff were friendly & accommodating.
