Badly needs a refurbishment. Tired looking, old furniture need replacing, sockets require 21st century upgrade.

Does what it says on the tin. Great facility but let down somewhat.

We were very pleased with the hotel. We wanted somewhere within easy traveling distance of the airport. The room was very large and clean, and the onsite bar /restaurant was lovely. Excellent value, and ideal for our needs.

As other reviews point out, some carpets are a bit tatty and parts of the building could do with a lick of paint. But against the positives, I don’t really care!

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived after official food service had closed but the manager and chef agreed to still get us a meal. Bar was jovial with pleasant clientele. All the staff who dealt with us were excellent. Hotel is in a great location-town centre and right opposite a golf course and brewery tap- but very quiet in the spacious rooms.

Hotel is clearly in need of some refurbishment however this didn't impact our stay in anyway.

Very good dinner in Jock's Bar - our 5 year old proclaimed the soup the 'best in the whole world' and hasn't stopped talking about it since. Staff were very attentive and kind. Family room was humongous. Breakfast also very good.

The dining room at breakfast was cold but there was a problem with the heating

Ordered an espresso martini. It tasted absolutely disgusting. I took it back to be told there was no syrup so they just put espresso and vodka in it? I was given a refund on my Visa card which has not appeared in my bank?? The bed was uncomfortable, pillows hard. No electrical point where kettle situated therefore kettle had to be placed on the floor which is a definite hazard. No soap in the bathroom. Lighting in room is practically none existent and hotel was cold.

The room was very rundown and badly in need decoration. The bathroom was very old fashioned and it also needed decorated especially the grouting which needed completely redone. There was no bin in the bathroom and as there were no drinking cups we had to ask for glasses at the bar. As for the hotel in general it needed a good lick of paint and the lack of heating throughout made eating in the bar and breakfast room uncomfortably cold.

The breakfast and dinner were both very good. The staff were always at hand and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The sitting lounge ( former restaurant) was ideal for relaxing in with a coffee or drink ordered from the bar.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

The room needed some TLC but I believe the hotel have started refurbishing some of the rooms and we did get a great deal so this wasn't too disappointing.

The location is great and a short walk to Loch Leven. Our room was large and the staff - especially Abby were lovely. We will definitely be returning as there is plenty to do for a one night stay.
