Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My bed was a little uncomfortable as I could feel the springs
The staff were polite & professional The room was basic, but clean The breakfast (not included in the price) was great, with a choice of cereals, fruit & yoghurt as well as a cooked breakfast The property is 10 minutes walk from the train station, which is less than 10 minutes train ride from the NEC.

The decor was a bit dated and it would have been amazing to have antique features going with the age of the hotel. But everything was very good.
Everything was outstanding. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the service, the food quality and the welcome to our service dog were remarkable. Thank you. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we are back in the area.

The plumbing of the shower/bath in room 15 needs attention. The pillows were flat.
The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly. Lovely to have dogs welcome!

Bath was a bit small, couldn't move shower screen.
Food was amazing for the price and the little petitfors that came out at the end of the meal was a nice touch.

Room a bit cold -( the weather was just awful) and sofa seems to want to throw you off. I feel it would be sensible to put a hand rail in the bath, as I have to climb into the bath to access the shower, and the shower shield is fixed, so nothing to get hold of, be it shower bar or taps. One slip and it would be a mess! Would not cost an arm and a leg to do that. Shower needs a good cleanout as only a trickle.
Great welcome, supper and breakfast. Very cosy bed. Easy location, easy parking. Water lovely and hot, and room very private. I think the price is very fair. One of the nicest hotel breakfasts I have ever had, and worth any penny! Kept me going all day.

Slightly dated fittings but didn’t detract from an enjoyable stay.
Very friendly and comfortable hotel convenient for NEC. Had nice meal in bistro during our visit. Will definitely be back. Free parking on site and walking distance to train and shops.

Only issue I had was that I was unable to get the access code to work when returning late to the hotel, fortunately staff were still present and let me in!
Peaceful, comfortable stay, close to local amenities and hotel has everything needed. Very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast.

The opening window could do with looking at as its not a tight fit & you can hear the traffic noise but it never interfered with my sleep and the shower was difficult to adjust to the right temperature
Good Place to stay for going to the university of Warwick just 5 miles away & easy drive. Breakfast excellent & Dinner was very good. The Room was spacious for my needs & warm Staff where very welcoming and friendly couldn't do enough for you.

Hot water takes a while to come through but is not a problem once you know as it is great once it arrives.
Pleasant staff who met my additional need of a multi socket electrical adaptor. Comfy bed with nice pillows. TV easy to mute and select subtitles (I'm deaf so need that). Excellent breakfast. Very happy with my stay thanks.

Probably a bit of upgrading of carpets and some furniture, it was a bit dated but this didnt detract from our stay.
The location was great and had lots of things i.e. restaurants/pubs within walking distance. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel was lovely and warm.
