The Motel is a bit tired, and is need of an uplift in respect of the decorating.

Location was very good for going anywhere, Lewes the county town and further afield the area has some fantastic towns to visit. The Rooms are clean and basic.

The accommodation was horrendous, I didn’t even have a shower as it was grimy and not pleasant at all in fact everything wasn’t any good needs to have a full refurbishment nothing worth saving. If you need to get your head down for a night it will just about do but not at all pleasant and you can even hear people talking and even yawning banging about. It is like a cheap dated Motel, but looks quite appealing from the exterior .

The bar area was very nice and cosy and staff where also very nice and helpful.

The only problem I had was the shower wasn’t quite warm enough for me. Not sure why as when I switched it to a bath the temperature was good - maybe a piping issue that is being sorted?

Everyone was friendly and supportive. Easy access and decent food. The bed was surprisingly soft/comfortable.

Last food orders at 1945, then when the last person leaves, lights are switched off usually by 2100.

Requested ground floor room, but at last minute was informed by Booking.com not available. Walking up 15 concrete steps to room very difficult. Especially annoying after drunken, swearing down and outs occupied ground floor rooms! Returninr from a local pub virtually unable to walk and being assisting by another. Drinking at 0800 in the bus shelter outside.

Cheap hotel for 1 night, for Brighton marathon. The smoke alarm flashed consistently through out the night No toilet brush! Love the high pressure/flow of the shower The staff were fantastic, but felt overworked

we only had one bath towel and requested a second but nothing arrived. Arrived at 8pm ish on a Saturday night and was told restaurant closed but we could order a takeaway as we were staying the night. It also looked like the pub had closed at 9pm?

The decor was poor in the bathrooms, the bath was stained the balcony had a plank missing and felt very unsafe, cobwebs everywhere

The room smelt musty when we arrived and we opened the balcony door for some fresh air the room and furniture was tired including the bathroom although the bed was comfortable
