United KingdomVery minor point: the flat would benefit from a cafetiere or coffee machine. Instant options were found in a cupboard -- would have made the property truly 5star for comfort and facilities to start the day with real coffee (we always have our own grounds but haven't needed to travel with press for years so forgot to pack it). Not a reflection on the hosts or affecting the property: there is ongoing gentrification of the neighbourhood, which has led to loss of one carpark by Mermaid Quay (this ruined our breakfast plans after 10am check out because it is still shown as active on maps) and closure of sections of non-road walking routes, including part of the riverside trail (be prepared for roadworks and detours if walking from train stations).
Wonderful location, overlooking the river Taff within easy walking access of groceries, harbour and restaurants, as well as shops, train stations and the Stadium. The flat is clean, well appointed and is in a quiet complex with secure parking. We enjoyed coming back from a sunset stroll to watch Netflix on our first night, and again after a long morning in town, had a nice nap before taking the aquabus up to the Castle for an evening concert. Safe area to walk at night and for an easy longer stroll to Mermaid Quay, we recommend going through the fabulous city wetlands reserve via Hamadryad Park, or just nip down side streets (watch for construction removal of pavements) for quick access to the Sennedd and more. Our host provided excellent instructions and updates along the way; we had no issues collecting keys, accessing the complex or checking out.

United KingdomSome details of property need updating. No parking permit was available as described. The washing machine is currently not in working order. Like many other people found, getting to grips with the TV a bit of a mission . Also, a few minor issues ,such as, previously stated by a number of people, some light bulbs still need replacing in the main room.
Good instructions on how to find, pick up keys, gain access, etc. Response to phone calls good.Very well located, easy to walk to city centre, train station, shops, restaurants and bay area. Flat in quiet position.

United KingdomThere were a few annoying little things: no bedsheet provided for the sofa bed (we had to use the fleecy sofa throw instead which was OK but a bit hot); some of the lightbulbs in the living room were dead and needed replacing; when you switched on the TV it went straight to instructions in German (!) and it took about 30 mins of experimenting with the remote to eventually find Netflix; no washing up brush or sponge provided.
Comfortable modern apartment with everything we needed. We were 2 friends travelling together and the layout of the flat meant that we both had our own comfortable bed and our own privacy if we needed it

AustraliaWe were supposed to be supplied with a parking permit to park in the apartment carpark, this was not supplied but thankfully we weren't booked. Some maintenance required, bathroom shower hose drips, kitchen cupboards don't close properly and oven needs cleaning. I alerted the manager of the apartment to this so it should be attended to for future tenants

United KingdomAll VERY minor points and doesn't really distract from the great apartment - The whole key collection thing is a bit of a pain but at least the shop for collection is full of some lovely food like Turkish baklava and filled pide! There was some confusion over the parking permit but quickly resolved by the owner through the Messages function on Booking.com. One downside is that in the booking it listed there was a communal pool but the concierge didn't agree. (Although after checking that isn't listed in the details when searching - strange). Toiletries in the bathroom were a bit strange (there was a half used Lynx shower gel left!) and the shelf above the sink needed painting. Would have been nice to have terrestrial TV as well as Netflix as I couldn't get ITV to watch the football - however the TV is great for screen mirroring.
Convenient location a short walk from Mermaid Quay ad links into town. Great parking, which is a HUGE bonus in the Bay and Cardiff in general. Nice space with everything you need for a short stay apartment. Clean and tidy. Comfy bed

When we started cooking dinner, we found a black curly hair among the spoons and fork.Its terrible and disgusting. We found underwear in the washing machine. Apartment cleaning superficial with a lot of dust.Its looks about cleaning no body care. The carpet has many dirty spots. The floor tiles in the bathroom are moving. One of them is cracked. My girlfriend works in the cleaning service field.Her assessment of this apartment cleaning -1 minus one.

AustraliaHaving Mike hang up the phone when I complained about the apartment. He should not have put us in there knowing there were problems. The shower leaked badly, the washing machine did not work at all & the standard of the furnishing was dreadful - badly stained rug & carpets & needed complete redecoration. Very below standard expected on booking.com & when I return to Australia will follow up with complaint to them.
