Handy location to Bristol airport for early morning flight

Given that it is a small cottage with small rooms, there’s nothing more that it could be. It’s well run, well provided for, and ideal for that 1 night stop over for a late arrival and an early morning departure flight. I’m sure the breakfast would have been just as good but I was on my way to the terminal at 05.00 so unable to take advantage. So, nothing to dislike.

Location was perfect for Bristol airport access on foot. Airport hotel is a rip off. Hathway House is perfect value for money. Instead of paying £135 + another £70 odd in additional tax and fees for about an 8 hours stopover it was absolutely a no brainer. The A1 Bristol airport to Bristol city & v.v. bus is just close by and a great way in and out of town. Will definitely book it again.

Good location. It was ten minutes walk from the airport, so great for early/late flights. There’s a tavern serving food across the road as well.

The property description seemed to indicate there would be breakfast available in the room. We arrived late at night and couldn't find any food so we tried reception in the morning to see if there was anything there. There was no one at reception when we checked, and since we had a plane to catch we didn't have enough time to try to contact the host via message, so we left without food in the end. Looking through previous reviews from others who couldn't find any food, I now realise the host does indeed provide cereal but you have to specifically request it otherwise it won't be there. If we'd known this in advance, we would have done so. So this isn't so much a criticism as just a heads-up for fellow travelers to *REQUEST BREAKFAST IF YOU NEED IT* :) It might also help to put the above in the property description to avoid confusion!

The place was very clean and so close to the airport, ideal for getting up early for a flight. The shower was wonderful with great water pressure - so lovely and relaxing after a long journey. We found the bed comfortable as well. Host was also helpful, sending a message before we arrived. The coffee set up was also very nice. Would book again!

Room so small. No place to open luggage other than on the bed. And The BED!! Smallish for 2. And the mattress not comfortable. Too springy. Did not sleep at all.

Nobody about when I arrived, having driven from Pembrokeshire, returned hire car to Europcar, caught bus to terminal and then walked to Hathway Cottage... When I got through to the owner, he advised that he had sent me an email re my room number. 2I had been driving a lot of the day and didn't see it until later, unfortunately. My fault rather than theirs!

Very handy for 6.55am flight from Bristol Airport...approx 10 minutes to walk.

Reason the score is lower especially for location is because with 2 suitcases in the rain it is not a nice walk even 15 minutes and taxi is 19 sterling. If it was summer, one suitcase yes it is fine. The other low was bathroom although hot water was very cold inside. Also wished I just had croissant with the kettle for breakfast, maybe something to consider?

Very sweet owners and nice little cottage, room small but clean and quiet with ensuite. Probably best option by bristol airport for any arrival or departure. In summer it would be much better.

Whoever was in the room next to me was really noisy. They slammed the door shut and made quite a lot of noise generally.

The location was super and the bed was very comfortable. Although tiny the room had everything needed for an overnight stay. Claire and Terry were very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. The bulb in my lamp wasn't working and it was quickly replaced. The location was perfect and about 10 minutes walk from the airport.

Shower wasn't particularly hot but it wasn't cold.

Delivered everything that was expected. I arrived relatively late and we still able to park, albeit with some rather tight manoeuvring and relying on the help of the host to guide me. Room was very warm, I had to turn down the radiator but nice to have the choice. My room (number 3) was facing away from the road and even with the window open there was very little noise. It took me no more than 5 mins to drive to the meet & greet parking and an able bodied person could walk to the airport if need be.

For this price I can't find any cons.

Terry, the owner, is a very sociable and easy-going person. The room turned out to be completely sufficient for my needs. The minimal distance to the airport actually encourages you to choose this location. The inconvenience of the nearby airport is not felt at all in the apartment - it is a quiet, peaceful residence offering the opportunity to relax.

My only critisism was that the room was a little short of space for managing a suitcase.

The accomodation is within a few minutes walking distance from the airport. It was easy to find and ideal for an overnight stay & had everything I needed.
