There is no one in person to receive you. TV didn't work. The shower was just about dripping with no water pressure. The toilet seat was broken.The mattresses are very old and needs replacement. There are also other people living permanently on the property in sheds. The property needs a deep cleaning and serious maintenance. The back yard with all the sheds full of rubbish needs a clean up. The washing was hanging in the back yard even through the night. At the pool there is a shed that looks like a washing room is full of old washing machines and the floor was flooded with water. Lots of junk around the swimming pool. I think a health inspector will have a field day there. There were 10 cars parked on the property of which none was boarding in the "hotel". I was lucky to find a spot. It seems like it is catering for contractors mostly of which there were a few and they were very noisy. Not really for families or couples and not up to our standards. It has huge potential and just needs to be managed better and TLC.

The rooms need some tlc. Its ok for a night stay but I wouldnt recommend this for anything over a night. Thru are cheap though and you get your moneys worth

The location is very near the airport and convenience stores, shops and petrol stations. Its an old manor house with lots of room and outbuildings turned into self contained accomodation. They also charge £5 a day for the parking which is the cheapest in the area so far that I have seen.

The heater and water tank was very cold.It was not turned on till we asked.The kitchen and all areas has full of unnessary /faulty toasters/ dirty things,inshort crap things.

The outside property ambiance was good. The rooms are fine colorful.

It was distressing that Booking.com advertises it as 700 metres away. It’s not possible to walk with luggage. You need transport. If you depart for an early flight the streets are pitch black. Hair on the bed sheet confused me but frankly I didn’t care at that point.

I liked that the lady fixed the tv and got me some tea bags.

Hot water not working.. No bins easily accessible to throw rubbish away.. Dirtier then expected, pillows very poor too soft head hits the mattress.. No sink in kitchen. The place needs some tlc.. Location great though for an overnight stay for the airport.. Saves the rush in the morning Host was great, good communication

Loads of out of date milk and yogurt in fridge and I mean well out of date luckily I noticed as we was with young children and if they eat the yogurt they definitely would of become poorly

You people gave us two bedrooms for 5 people (2adults and 3 kids ) but only one room’s key in the door another one was not there,so we all share one room.It was not great we were not slept peacefully. If you could partly refund it would be great.

Uncomfortable creaky beds, the type of cheap mattress that bottoms out when you sit on it. 2 beds crammed into a room that is realistically only big enough for one… I peeped into other room and saw more or less the same situation.

One redeeming feature was a large bath tub in the shared bathroom on the first floor, that was nice, but overall, nah wouldn’t stay here again.

The lady was not helpful; she asked me to pay her in cash for my early check -in but it was raining and I had to walk out.I could not get the Wifi password as I had emailed her,but she didnt check her email until the evening and then told me to look back of the modem.Additionally my room's toilet was not clean at all.If I had checked the Tripadvisor reviews, I wouldn't have gone there in the first place.

The property was ideally located to the airport. Joanne was very friendly and greeted me with a warm personality. I loved her two dogs!

I was not given the necessary details to get into the property and sent a number of messages through the app and didn’t get a response. There were a number of items broken eg upstairs shower, finding out when undressed to have a shower. Table cloth, seats, floor in kitchen/dining area were unclean, food spills, grit and unpleasant debris. Took shoes off and socks covered in floor grime and hair. Hard to know how long food had been around - bread and croissants available - but chose not to have breakfast. Bed squeaked as you moved and you could hear others moving around in the house. Wifi did not work for any of the guests and no networks showing available to but password in.

Before i booked I spoke to a woman at Hazelwick who assured me we would have a private bathroom ( this was also stated in my booking com receipt) and as we had a cat in a large airline carrier we would be allocated a ground floor room. The bathroom was shared between several other rooms and we were put on the first floor. We arrived out of hours, I had advised that we would arrive late and checked this was ok BEFORE I booked. I was assured that out of hours check in details would be sent. On the day prior to flying from the canary islands I rang to ask for the check in details. The woman said she would send it later. I told her that we were flying and would be out of contact for most of the day. We arrived at Gatwick at 8.30pm. Still no check in details. Between 8.30 pm and gone 10 pm I rang a minimum of 8! times. Several of those calls were answered and immediately hung up. When we finally got to our room (without a private bathroom and upstairs) the door (room called Polperro) would not shut, there was no key to lock it and the latch would not catch. We had to push furniture against it to secure the door. The beds were pretty awful, bedding looked creased like it hadn’t been changed . Did not get much sleep so we left at 5am just to get out if there. Never again!

Close to gstwick but difficult to find. The map directions on the web take you to another guest house and Hazelwick has no clear identifiable signage and badly lit.

Poor organisation in the check-ins and bedrooms allocation. We had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to open the door or to pick up the phone, which went straight to voicemail after the first call. And all customer coming after us were complaining about the same. We even open the door to a couple with 3 kids at 1am that had email confirmation and their room allocation to do a self-check in and when they got in the room they are other customer in there and the host wasn't available as it was late in the evening. Us, as costumer, helped the poor couple finding another available bedroom so they could have a rest after a long day.

Mostly everything. Uncomfortable beds, grubby appearance, unclean. Breakfast table strewn with unwashed crockery and utensiles.

Breakfast was supposed to be continental but the refrigerator was bare except for some spreads,juices and an out of date yogurt!
