How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bed is super springy and uncomfortable, bunk beds make a LOT of noise getting in and out. Sinks in the bedroom are obscenely loud. Room was incredibly wam. Definitely recommend ear plugs and an eye mask because loud music until late.
The location, clean modern decor, smells good. Communal spaces are nice.

There were no tags in my 4 ppl dormitory to indicate which bed was for who. This cause a bit of distress the first night and a bit annoying as the same issue kept happening every day with new people arriving. We were explaining that some renovation work was going to be carried out soon. However, a simple sticker would have a avoided a lot of fuss. Mattress was a bit uncomfortable for my taste but not a deal breaker at all.
Room had its own toilet and shower, clean overall, central position and two pubs downstairs so no need to go around for a drink. The kitchen could have been a bit more clean but it was a lovely shared space. I love the welcome drink at the pub, was a nice touch!

When there was music on downstairs , it felt like you were in the room with it. The window also didn’t open so it was very stuffy , even though you were given a fan
The kitchen had good facilities, had a lift , bed was comfortable

My room was super hot and no circulation but when I told the receptionist she turned it down. It was a little less stuffy. But also I booked an all women dorm and was with mixed.
I like the aesthetic and the cleanliness.

No curtains for some of beds, noisy neighborhood (bar nearby) and got a towel with some stains
Location, staff and their availability. Free tap water to fill a bottle at the registration desk. The bed was also comfy enough.

There has to be a mop in washrooms, so that if there is any water on the floor of the was it could be wiped immediatelt. additionally my comforter was dirty, as soon as i uncovered it, it had some beverage spilled on it, so it wasnt cleaned at all.

The water couldn't get warm at all.
Location is excellent and the small dorm room was perfect. I really like the curtain to give privacy and the sink being separate from the toilet.

Nothing much to point out.
Location is pretty decent, few minutes away by feet from most attraction, it's also near the northern quarter, quite the vibrant part of city.

Another great Selina. The location was good, staff very friendly, the free drink always a nice bonus and the rooms were ideal. I was staying with a friend so to have a bunk bed with curtains rather than two single beds beside each other was really nice.

The staff is very friendly and responsive. I had a very good experience when it was my birthday to check in and they updrademy reservation to suite. Special thanks to Amilie, for such nice counnication. The location is good and can walk to the main station.

On this (1 of 2) occasion i had trouble to sleep due to worn mattress.
Modern door locks add security for leaving possessions in dorm. Complimentary drink at bar next door :)

The shelve above the bed that I hit my head against, hit the legs while sleeping, the same was with other girls in my room. The water was not flowing out in the shower :(

As a girl travel alone, this hotel make me feel safe, with the cupboard located inside the bed curtain. And the curtain provide some privacy, I also like it very much. I slept very well and didn't notice much noise as most comment mentioned. The bed, linen and towel all seems very clean. Shower room is quite narrow and there's very limited space to place your clothes and shower gels, etc. But in all, I am very satisfied with this experience. Totally value for the money.
