Room a little dated, no USB sockets, sprung mattress that clunked when you moved. And my pet hate a shower curtain over a bath. Other than that the room was clean, quiet, and I enjoyed a good night sleep

Sofa bed was so tiny that my daughter struggled to sleep in it. Please provide a decent size sofa bed . Worn carpets, taps that need replacing in toilets and curtain showers that need an upgrade The place needs a makeover

The room had lots of space- perfect for a family of four and the breakfast was great too. Every single member of staff we communicated with were so friendly.

I had to keep telling the staff food was included in the price of the room. A better explanation of the pricing would have been good.

The breakfast was fabulous, the staff were probably the friendliest, most welcoming of anywhere I've ever stayed. They also loaned us an umbrella when we forgot ours. We were travelling for a funeral, rather than a holiday, so we didn't make use of all of the facilities (eg we weren't heading to the bar / in the pool much) but it was the best value for money I could find in the area, and for that price the fact there is a health centre and breakfast included was really brilliant value.

Tried to charge for parking is taking the p155!!! I pay Booking.com the rate so stop trying to cut out booking.com - when I try to book direct it costs more!!!! Holiday Inn sort your selves out!! Room too near a very noisy reception, bar not enough beers. Also barmaid was not allowed to accept 4pence less in cash for a round (“I’ll get in trouble!!” For 4pence really - when I gave her the extra £5 in cash she had to run to reception for cash change - and I had to wait 5 minutes before I could go back to my seat

vertical ladders into pool - I much prefer gradual steps into the water with hand rails, much safer in my opinion, some Holiday Inns have them, some don't, with the variation in ages of guests and members I happen to think this is important, hopefully some of the hotels with the old style ladders will upgrade them in time.

Very nice room, really comfy bed, relaxed ambiance of the hotel, cheerful and helpful staff in all areas, modern decor, pool and fitness complex, excellent breakfast, food/drinks available all day (24 hours I think!), car park, and outside seating/eating areas for when weather nice!

The accommodation corridors and rooms are very tired, the bathroom fittings also could really do with a refurb (the water pressure was so much that the kids struggled to have a shower - it hurt). The shower curtain clings to your body as you shower, which is very unpleasant. The poached eggs at breakfast were rock hard, and the meats all undercooked. So for £12 I had toast and a hard egg which wasn't great value for money.

The foyer is modern and has the wow factor, and the receptionists were superb; exceptionally professional and friendly, nothing was too much to ask. So an excellent welcome. The breakfast was delicious although I steered away from most of the main cooked breakfast as sausages and bacon were quite underdone. The waitress was happy to sort some poached eggs which was a lovely option to have available. Everything was very clean, which made for a pleasant stay. Also unlike other 'family" hotel rooms where every bed is squashed in, we had a lovely amount of space which made for a much more relaxing stay and sleep! As a family we loved having the swimming pool available for use. It made the stay extra special :)

We felt that the price of the breakfast was a little too high, and unfortunately we had to get an uber to the conference location as the hotel is a little out of the way.

The rooms were really spacious, even if we did manage to get lost getting to our room. The staff were all really friendly, and overall my colleague and I enjoyed our stay!

Cleaning standards need work. Room was dusty and quite dirty.

Excellent staff who went out of their way to keep us happy! Breakfast was lovely and varied, hotel was very quiet at night, pool and jacuzzi very nice (but very busy). No shortage of clean towels!

Nothing other than gym facilities not as we normally would use. That’s just personal preference though

Staff really friendly and when we had dinner they bought out a birthday treat for my friend. Facilities good.
