Some rooms have had a modern upgrade but others haven't. Could be cleaner possibly.
Convenient location, close to motorway. Plenty of parking. Great air conditioning.

The room and corridors leading to were extremely hot , disappointing there ain’t any air conditioning in the room I had, ok you got a electric fan but it only circulated the hot air already in side.
It was spotless clean, room cleaned every day

The evening dinner wasn’t very good, the food was overcooked.
Location is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful, when the air con in one of rooms didn’t work properly it was quickly sorted out.

For a start, Booking.com doesn't differentiate well enough between the Newport Holiday Inns - Holiday Inn at the Coldra and Holiday Inn at Tredegar Park. So I ended up booking the wrong one. Then I thought that would be good as the Coldra one has a swimming Pool. Then I saw that the pool was closed, so that was disappointing (especially inn the hot weather) It was the Oasis weekend in Cardiff so prices were higher than usual I think and some hotels full. When we arrived we were allocated a room on the first floor but there was NO LIFT. I couldn't;t charge my car on the first day as the BPpulse machine was broken-but it was fixed on the Sunday (second day) so I was able to charge. Only one BPPulse and 4 smaller (Tesla?) chargers. Brilliant breakfast but tea didn't taste great as hot water from machine. an old Air Conditioning machine didn't cope very well with the heat (upstairs) and windows but very little breeze at that time. Only heard one banging door at night which was good considering all the oasis fans who must have returned late. (no player I don;t think)
When we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful - in fact they couldn't do enough for us.Breakfast was amazing -everything you could need and more - Tea was made for me from the kitchen boiler (rather than the coffee machine which doesn't;t have hot enough water) Charger for car was fixed on the Sunday so I could c charge my car. Slept pretty well considering. Beds are nice. TV, Coffee and tea in room and plenty of towels of course.

Would have liked more coffee, not decaf, in the room. I like my coffee strong. The pillows were not to my liking, but that is personal preference.
The person on reception when we arrived, just after 6 pm, was really good. He was helpful, knowledgeable and polite. The room was a very good size, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was everything you could just about wish for, the food was hot if that is what you wanted. There was so much to choose from, you could have stayed there all morning, just picking at the different foods on offer.

A great stay of 3 nights related to a conference at ICC Wales. Highlights, proximity to the venue, specious room with appropriate furniture, great bar and restaurant, friendly and efficient staff, beautifully kept wooland grounds erc.

Everything was good
Situated just off the M 50, ideal for living up with other cities. Quiet and peaceful area. Hotel looks oldish on the outside but inside is more modern and more homely than expected. Staff were courteous, attentive and smiling. Room was exceptionally clean and big.
