Only negative was hand soap dispenser in room didn't work... so wasted a bar of soap for one night stay

The health club is 4-5 minutes away by car or 30 minutes walk. We didn't expect it, or didn't read carefully. That's why I put 9 , instead of 10.

Everything is very good. Been enjoyed staying here. The room was very big. Breakfast is nice.

The property was lovely. Was such a warm welcome as soon as I arrived. Me and my fiancée have both said we will 100% be returning when we stay over again. I advise anyone wanting to stay to book here

An excellent location in the heart of Windermere. So much to do on your doorstep including hikes, bars and restaurants. The property itself was tastefully decorated and clean. The bed was so comfortable - perfect for a good nights sleep after a long walk! The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely too - we really couldn’t fault anything at all. Would recommend and stay again :)

The property was clean, well maintained and friendly. The room was spacious and cosy aswell as common areas being open and spacious. The staff were so friendly and helpful aswell as the owner who went above and beyond to help. Before my trip even started, I was getting messages of attractions, local food spots and everything I could possibly need to know about the stay. I could not have asked for more from a property.

From the moment we booked Holly lodge, the experience was great. The hosts Bonnie and Ian were friendly, helpful with great communication. Holy lodge itself exceeded all expectations. Kirsty our host met us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming and our 3 year old was delighted. The family room was perfect, decorated nicely and plenty of space for our family. Breakfast was delicious, and our daughter was delighted to have her own Mickey mouse napkins, unicorn cup and smiley face toast. Would recommend Holly Lodge to anyone visiting the lake District, and will definitely be back.

Nothing could be better!

The room was a perfect size, tastefully decorated, and had good amenities, with a lovely view towards the hills. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was perfectly clean. Having access to the local gym & spa was fantastic, and was much needed after a long day of walking nearby. Breakfast was also lovely - I had the full English and was very pleased, as well as having lots of choice of cereals, juices, teas & coffees. I couldn't ask for more.

The location was excellent, near amenities and nice restaurants The breakfast was tasty and great cooked options. The size of the room was good. The staffs are amazing and very nice with kids, my daughter was always keen to go back and play games with them.

There was nothing to complain about, welcoming, clean and gorgeous rooms.

Stayed here with my brother as we'd never been to the lakes before. We were welcomed by kirsty who was super friendly and informative. The room was lovely and clean. The breakfast both mornings were amazing too. The property is also very close to everything we wanted to see, we walked everywhere from the hotel. No issues with parking either.

The property has lovely interior, very quirky, an inviting atmosphere and the breakfast was great, we also used the option of free leisure facilities. Nice walking distance to restaurants and sites.

Everything was perfect, nothing to complaint.

Everything was perfect! The location was great for us, close to train station and just 20-30 min walk from Bowness (closer if you take the bus) and close to trails we wanted to do and to buses that take you to Grasmere/Ambleside etc. We spend 4 days hiking around and it was perfectly located. Breakfast was really complete and delicious with different options to choose. Room was spacious, clean and luminous with everything you could need. The staff was fantastic, the owners sent us detailed information on restaurants and trails around before the stay that was really useful and appreciated. I travelled with my sister and just to say that we will choose the same place to stay if we come back to the lakes.

The breakfast time was inflexible - 8:30-9:30 am. We usually get up at 7 and have breakfast and like to get out earlier for walks - particularly if it’s good weather, so we found the fixed 1 hr breakfast window prohibitive. We were also in a room with a low beam above our head, at night we banged our head several times.

Clean. Nice breakfast. Access to the offsite spa facilities was very good for a rainy afternoon - very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The shower unit needs replacing as main unit leaked and must be over 10 years old and sprayed my clothes on the floor from over the top of the shower screen. The shower temp was like warm at best. There is Parking on site but either get there early for the easy spaces or be prepared for 10 point turns. Luckily the neighbouring property has stopped parking her car (it was dented) which made it just possible to manoeuvre.
