How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast took ages - had to order to go - one poor woman doing everything. Electric charges didnt work (tried 4 times paying deposit each time which I got back) Room Very basic for the price.
Nice location outside hotel. Staff relatively friendly. Nice restaurant and atmosphere there with nice food and selection of beers. Free parking.

The breakfast wasn't as good as expected

The EV charging facility is somewhat sketchy and the rates are arguably on the higher side. It is great that they are available but I would probably seek an alternative next time around.
Cooked breakfast was great, also catering the vegetarians and vegans. Same for the dinner options. Room was convenient as expected. Location is good, 10 minutes by car of taxi to Wrexham.

Everything was mostly fine. If we were to mention anything at all it would be that the toast was cold & we felt it would be better freshly made by the guests via a small machine on the food bar. But it’s a minor thing & only suggesting it as an improvement. Thank you.
The bar and restaurant areas are appealing. Staff efficient and helpful, especially Andrew! Reasonable range of food options. Our room was fine with comfortable beds.

I was anxious after reading some bad reviews but my husband, toddler and I had a great stay. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly and informative. The location was good for us as we were visiting family close by. Our room was clean, had everything we needed and the bathroom looked quite new. The carpet was a bit dated but there was no signs of mould or damp or anything else I had read about. We would be happy to stay here again.

The curtains could benefit from a lining as the light was coming through all night. The road noise kept us awake and there was a smell of fuel in the corridors
The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location. Breakfast was lovely although there wasn't any pastries left when we got there! The room was spacious and good tea making facilities. The bar has a great selection of drinks and snacks

The breakfast let the property down. Cereals and fruit juice were fine but the cooked breakfast was not up to standard.
Bedrooms were lovely and warm, beds were comfortable.

No USB charger in wall sockets - pack a charger plug with you ! Bed too soft + rolled into middle ! No heated towel rail in bathroom - only stayed one nite but would be an issue if staying longer. Very noisy from other rooms.
Plenty of free parking. Friendly bar, waiting on + domestic staff. Room clean + spacious. Clean + spacious bathroom with double power shower. Plenty of buffet style breakfast.

A little expensive for a one night stay. I think the price has been set higher as there was a game at the Wrexham football ground and alternative accommodation was limited.
A comfortable stay near the city centre with parking.

Not much lounge area. Dining area felt a bit big and empty. A bit expensive for what it is. Some road noise.
Hotel is on main road outside Wrexham city limits. Large car park and dining room (made for functions?), but not many staying when we were there. Very well stocked bar. Choice of a la carte or more economical set menu. Good sized room. Very friendly staff. Convenient for visiting Wrexham, NT Erddig and other sites in the area.

The walls were paper thin. One of our neighbouring rooms was extremely loud and I ended up having to knock at 1 in the morning asking them to try and keep it down a bit. There is no where to get a drink at night, we got back at 10:30 and the bar was all shut down no staff about, only tap water or tea available in the room. No vending machines or anything!
