A nice clean new hotel. The location is very good. It is located in the new city. It is also very close to the old city. Water and towels are left every day. Cleaning is done if you request. The facilities are also very good. A bus passes nearby. 5-10£ to anywhere by taxi. It is close to the airport and we took a taxi for 22£. Thank you, I recommend.

The only thing I can think of to be improved is the housekeeping - they clearly had been into our room, as a few things had moved - but nothing had been tidied or cleaned. Felt a little odd!

The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome at the hotel. They were always on hand and happy to help with any query. Our room exceeded our expectations, being bigger and more comfortable than we thought it would be. We were given complimentary breakfast for the first night of our stay, and the selection was excellent, we would definitely get breakfast included in our stay next time. The location of the hotel is also very good. Not as central as I’d previously stayed in Edinburgh, but still only a short walk from the castle etc. This did mean it was quiet at night time.

Suggestion: Access control to the different floors could be installed in the elevator so that only the guests can access their own floor as I have seen in some other hotel lifts. This would increase security since the spa is located in the basement and has an external public access door for external persons that are not guests at the hotel. Thanks

Beds good quality, bit firm for us. Only 1 lift so at busier times often used stairs.

Breakfast had a very good selection from continental, pastries, cooked options to requesting specific menu items, such as smoked salmon, waffles or omelette. All for £12 if booked the night before. On the day would be £18. Our room was spacious with gd facilities. As a group of friends, we used the bar, which had nice areas to sit. We also had a 3 course meal on the evening of our arrival, although minimal choice everything ordered was cooked & presented to a high standard. We didn't drive on this ocassion, but paid parking was available across the road at 'Dynamic Earth', which was definitely worth a visit. The hotel has recently been taken over by Marriot, and some updating works were being completed, but this did not affect us as we were up & sorted by the time any noise started, approx 9.00am

It's close to Holyrood but a bit of a walk uphill to the city centre.

The fact I had to leave earlier than check out time, due to a work emergency!!

Got to hotel early, but staff were great. Held my luggage & it was in my room by the time I returned. Room was huge & all amenities were perfect. Breakfast was plentiful & hosting was perfect.
