The pool facilities are lovely, but on the day we were there a 'hen do' were sat outside the steamroom and sauna and it really felt like we were on display. Although I understand you can't stop people siting in an area, there was no other seating for anybody else.

Was very comfy beds, was nice to have a bath and shower.

room was very clean as was everywhere else. the bed was super comfy very helpful staff so nice to be able to use the pool and the steam room, staff were lovely here too we also sat and had a cocktail by the pool which was great we didnt have the food as we were meeting family so cant comment

There was some work being done to revamp the venue - it did not affect the enjoyment of our stay; just restricted a little, to a particular area for dining for breakfast. Breakfast served over weekend - presentation differed from (Friday) but obviously a different cook for breakfast on our departure over the weekend, (Saturday)which we rated 6/10 My room was fairly clean, although some traces of the previous occupant - hair in the bathroom on arrival, overall the room was well presented and tidy. The TV was very small; could be updated to a larger monitor, screen not suitable for watching from bed - maybe in a kitchen. This venue will do well with an update, especially to corridors leading to rooms, light redecoration, fresh paint, to change bedroom doors/revarnish be much more welcome.

The venue was easy to find, was actually a short drive from Reception for my nephew's wedding at Downs Hall Good sized double room, our bed was comfortable, clean linen and we appreciated all the normal accessories - kettle, cups, coffee/tea and an iron + 👍 Enjoyed breakfast 9/10 - I arrived on a Thursday (different chef weekdays?) breakfast served Friday. We noticed the presentation was A*** and the cooking skills at a restaurant level to breakfast served over the weekend. Enjoyed the unlimited barista coffee/tea Staff, extremely friendly and accommodating - were personal and service was great! The staff offered clean towels and were extremely friendly, offering room service if required - greeting with a smile and conversation... Overall, the stay was pleasant, really homely, Hunters Meet exude and create a feeling of family, a very welcoming environment! I would definitely stay there again. Thank you

Our disappointment was that our room let in so much light, myself and my partner were up around 7am both days, despite still being tired, as the room was so bright. There was a frosted window next to my side of the bed, which had no curtain at all. I think black out curtains would be an amazing addition.

We enjoyed our first stay. The pool /gym/ steam and sauna is a nice addition. The staff were very friendly, we stayed for 2 nights and had dinner the first night at the hotel as well as 2 breakfasts. The dinner was lovely. Breakfast first day exceeded our expectations, however when we came back for breakfast the second morning, the hotel was much busier and at one point there were no eggs, white bread and no hashbrowns so people were waiting around. I would definitely come back as I do think you get good value for money and you can tell that the staff enjoy working there and are happy to help.

Our room was quite dated and the swimming pool and sauna area were quite tired looking. The front door entrance, giving access to our room was very warped and wouldn’t close properly and it made a horrendous noise when we tried to shut it. Toilet lid had a brown stain on it.

We enjoyed the location and we were pleased to see a few restaurants and a super market that was open until late. Members of staff were very friendly and welcoming and they let us have a slightly later check out free of charge. We didn’t try the food in the restaurant but it looked good value for money and we heard other guests saying they enjoyed it. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The car park was completely full when we arrived. This was not what I expected or needed after a long drive. I was able to get into the car part several hours later but until then I was left to my own initiative to find somewhere to park by the hotel staff.

Parking was an issue as i was in my work van, long wheel base, but i suppose if i had gone in a more car like or shorter van parking would have been fine.
