Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUpon arrival the rooms weren't as clean as you would expect. I had to clean dried urine off the toilet seat, there was water damage under the sink that was rotting away. The sink plug was broken. The bath tub wasn't clean and there were hairs in the plug hole. Despite there being no smoking signs everywhere. Our room stank of smoke. Like a chain smoker had been in there before us. I later found tabs just outside the window. So people had definitely been smoking in there. No tea spoons on the tea/coffee tray. Milk had been put inside the kettle (I can only imagine by a previous visitor) and not cleaned out. We had extremely noisy room neighbours that I had to call the front desk twice to complain about. They kept us up on and off until 4:30am with their loud music, arguing (raised voices) and cackling laughter. Which meant myself, my dog and my friend had 3 hours sleep between us. When asking for a refund I was told that wasn't possible at all. The restaurant attached to the hotel doesn't provide breakfast to hotel guests as they're not managed by the same person. Overall extremely shocking and won't be staying again. (I should have taken photos but I was exhausted from the day and just wanted to sleep. Which I didn't get to do much of).
A friendly greeting from the reception staff. That's it.

United KingdomThe hotel is very run down and is used to house a lot of homeless people. This wasn't a concern for me but other people may not want that from their hotel stay.
Simple booking. Basic room with TV that was sufficient for my needs.

United Kingdomfirst room and they gave us stink of smoke to the point it’s done your eyes, they moved it to the second room which was a little bit better smell as much a smoke, but there was still a lot of smoke. All the corridors stink of smoke or weed and outside the front entrance, you have to fight your way through the clientele that was already staying there who were chain-smoking drunk or trying to grab a lighter off you to like the cigarettes. The hotel and been updated since the 1970s like it at any plans to do so, the bathrooms were falling apart the shower, you could just about get wet in while holding imposition. We came home one evening to find a bathroom stink of smoke. It appears that other guests are smoking in our bathrooms and using the extractor systems to take the smoke away from the bathroom, which then goes into other bathrooms sofa one Knight, we had to leave the extractor on to keep the smoke from coming in. On top of that fateful night there was a party disco club scene happening in the restaurant below. It was still 2 o’clock in the morning and the music was playing and the fight broke out outside where voices were carrying around the area which woke us up 5 o’clock in the morning. We are woken up again by other guests coming back from wherever they are been slamming doors and having full on conversation is out in the corridor and in the bedrooms, it was the last Straw which I requested to cancel our next night, stay there and ask for a refund. This hotel should not be open to the public. It seems like the council is using it for some kind of halfway house for emergency accommodation for that what I’ve seen of the clientele staying there and if this is the case, then there should be some kind of warning notice on before people pre-book rooms. I’m really gutted I didn’t read the reviews and comments already on this property I only place to put my head down at night to sleep and wash in the morning, but we were barely getting that standard.
there’s nothing to like about the property. avoid this hotel all costs it’s not worth spending the money unless you like stay somewhere that can only be described as a murder scene.
