How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only one bin the room and that was in the bathroom. Stain on the wall in the bedroom
Really convenient for the start of the London Marathon. Staff were all really friendly and very helpful. Good value takeaway breakfast for those running.

Could have had maps of the area available as well as more info on the marathon start area and how to navigate from the south side back to North London on marathon weekend. Didn't have breakfast as at £15.50 pp we felt that was excessive. Greg's nearby had breakfast baps and drinks which came to less than that for 4 of us.
Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable.

The breakfast buffet selection was absolutely awful. When we came down at about 9:15, there were 3 slices of white bread, some pastries, and a scattering of cured meat products left. Not great for people who are into healthy eating! We got our money back and went across the road to Bill's, which was excellent.
The location in the middle of Greenwich was great for us -- lots of restaurants and things to do in the area and close to the train station. Parking next to the hotel was a bonus! The room was clean, quiet, and comfy (if not particulary spacious, but hey, it's London). The front desk staff where cheerful and helpful.

I recommend that the hotel extend the buffet range. It would also be better if you made the full English breakfast within the (buffet). Also, think about adding some supplies to the room (e.g., slipper, tooth paste/brush).
It is in a very good location near the University of Greenwich, the park, historic places, and attractions. The staff is also very friendly.

The restaurant staff were racist in my opinion. They served us almost 1 hour and more after we ordered our meal. And we noticed that they served first those that came after us.

One tiny bin in the bathroom, lack of plug sockets. It was clean but only to a basic level I felt.
Facilities provided were good, bed was comfy with spare pillows. Staff on site 24/7 and were helpful.

it was small things, for example, no bin in my room other than the small bin in the washroom. The shower cubicle did not have a place for my hair wash and soap (I don't like using the pump action soaps). The breakfast was not great. The coffee was poor too. The staff were a bit thin on the ground too.
Roo had a carpet and the bed and pillows were nice and firm. So I had a good sleep. Great location for the conference that I was attending. Also nearby to Oliver's Jaz bar across the road.

Room (twin) and bathroom were very small. Breakfast was basic and the coffee was not good.
Beds very comfortable and liked having kettle and tea/coffee available in the room. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic.

Ibis didn’t receive notification of the booking we made through Booking.com, so they didn’t have us on their system when we arrived at checkin. It was fortunate that they had rooms so they were able to place their own booking for us on the spot. I wouldn’t say the glitch was their fault, but it needs to be flagged as something to fix, otherwise we could have ended up without a room! The other thing was a clanging sound in the room the first night which kept us up for a while. I actually thought it was doors slamming in the hallway at first, but noticed the next morning that the bathroom sink vibrated with every clanging, so it appeared to be something with the plumbing. These a minor gripes overall. If addressed they can only add to the benefit of staying here.

The bathroom had a weird smell to it, and everytime house keeping came, they left the bathroom door open, so the smell seeped into the room

Location was amazing, very handy for the Uber boat to the O2 Arena, and Greenwich Park is lovely.
