If you're looking for somewhere with a good location and shops / facilities nearby, this isn't the hotel for you. The hotel is more suitable for a business stopover.

was told I needed to book 2 rooms as max occupancy was 2 and there were 3 of us. arrived at hotel and was offered a triple room. when I asked if I could have a refund as I only needed 1 room was told no as the staff would get in trouble with booking.com if they didn’t take payment for both rooms. the one staff member also swore which isn’t professional

Travelled with our dog and put on top floor! Not ideal but luckily our dog is very clean and could hold on down the stairs in the morning. Music played very loud until about 3am in one room not hotels fault but rooms can't be very soundproofed.

The toilet in the bathroom was not clean

The attitude of the staff, smiles in check in and when something was not right they immediately sorted it to our satisfaction.

The only negatives for us was with the bathroom in terms of accessibility for kids. The soap dispenser was too high up the wall for the children to reach in order to wash their hands after using the toilet, so required assistance from older family members. The shower could have done with a curtain or longer glass panel/door as younger members of family trying to use it independently did get water everywhere when taking the hose out of its fitting in bid to wash selves!

It was close to the motorway, so great access for those wanting to continue onwards the following day. Was clean and comfortable. Bedroom size was suitable for a family, didn’t feel squashed which you can do in some places. Kids loved the big tv and it kept them happily occupied. We loved that the hotel surprised us with granting our random room photos request. 😁

The hotel was quiet noisy during the night, few people running down the corridors.

Excellent size of room, only ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast as we needed to leave early for a car show, so wasn’t able to eat the buffet breakfast which we paid for. I had phoned up about getting something cooked made, and was told yes but when we arrived at the hotel we were informed we would have to eat only the continental breakfast.

Room needed a bedside table on both sides.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room great (could have done with a bedside table on both sides of bed though). Breakfast fine and a reasonably priced evening menu if you need to eat there. Will stay again.

The location is a little out of the way of everything, but that's not really the hotel's fault.

The room was decently sized and clean, which is all you can really ask for from a hotel like this. The car park is also large and appeared to be well covered with cameras. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good, served early enough for business travellers on weekends with an early start.
