I have stayed at the property on a number of occasions and always found the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and the food is excellent.

We had a ground floor room that was a good size, clean and pleasantly decorated. The walk in shower was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. the pub was what we expected as we are familiar with the chain. We had an evening meal that was well cooked and presented. The breakfast was very good, quality sausages and bacon and again nicely presented. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

The single room was also very clean however the bed was slightly too small and the generator noise kept our teenage son awake

Due to being freshly painted the room we had to keep windows open due to paint smell by the time we left four days later it started to be less or we just got use to it by then. Room could do with a suitcase stand as no draws to unpack clothes into. It would have also been nice that the door to the downstairs rooms wasn’t next to the overflowing bins. All of these could be little fixes that would made our stay a 5/5 rating, though we still will happily come and stay again.

The location was great for us due to seeing friends and family at different locations and we also came to do Roald Dahl museum. The room was a good size, freshly painted and the shower was lovely. Had tea and coffee making facilities and a place to hang clothes. In all it was a pleasant stay.

A very welcoming pub, friendly staff. The room was clean and very comfortable. Eat in the pub for an evening meal and breakfast both were a good standard.

Parking space so close to window which a van parked in and room had no natural light

Great place to stay, good wifi, once I had given O2 so much info they could clone me. Evening meal and breakfast was great. Room was very warm, and the view was of a transit van in the carpark which parked so close to the window there was no natural light.

Cold room and no toilet paper😮

The room was lovely, the evening meal was great. A big thanks to the breakfast ladies who whipped me up the best omelette ever. Lisa and Karen I think.

Two rooms were cold radiator in rooms did not work so were cold. Two rooms had no remotes for TV so could not watch TV Yea and coffee at breakfast cold no refill of cold drinks

Only one cask ale is ever available , shower cubicle in room too small, breakfast of smashed avocado poor value, only one egg and not beetroot hummus as advertised

Check in at the bar was disappointing - after initial hello from bar staff, we had to wait for the manager, who was preparing a large drinks order, to book us in. We weren't acknowledged and stood around for quite a while until eventually, the manager passed us back to bar staff to book in. Dinner was average, with several choices unavailable - ended up with expensive burgers, just plonked on the plate, no finesse. Ice cream generic, out of the tub blandness. Bathroom extremely tiny for a standard double - very small sink.

Excellent cooked breakfast and staff at breakfast were lovely, very accommodating to my picky requests. Good location for Aylesbury. Room clean and shower good. One waitress at dinner particularly nice, (sorry name unknown). 12 p.m. checkout a real bonus.
