Breakfast and dinner was excellent, room size and privacy was much better than anticipated!

Breakfast was poor and over priced and also not included in the £140 per night price. No fruit on the buffet nor muesli, no nice breads or croissants etc which would be expected for the price. There were only coco pops and cornflakes ! They need to up their game on this. The cooked breakfast was OK if not amazing.

We had a room with a view of the bridges and the Firth of Forth which was fabulous- worth asking for a room with view as back rooms don't look as good. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom extras poor for the price however. Bar is cosy.

A bit loud with the lads revving their cars up outside and the room was very dark.

Great shower, great parking, very clean, easy access to cafes, restaurants and lovely Queensferry and great views of the Forth and bridges. Also very handy to Dalmeny station for easy access to the city

Our room was on the ground floor of the hotel and immediately outside motorbikes were continually coming and going right outside. They were also across the road at sea wall too. The noise was very annoying. The noise continued until after 7 pm. Normal for a Sunday apparently. Small dedicated point for getting key and checking in, just end of the bar and attracting someone’s attention.

Great location for local walks and for short drives to scenic villages etc.

Great hotel & restaurant in stunning location. Lovely large clean family room with a view overlooking the bridges. Friendly & welcoming staff and great food both restaurant in the evening and breakfast cooked to order the following morning.

Was staying at the hawes inn with my mother who has dementia. We made dinner reservations at the hawes inn restaurant. Left the restaurant at 7pm and returned to our room. Was awoken at 9.50pm with loud bangs to the bedroom door. Opened the door to 2 men asking that we settle the restaurant bill. My mother was shaken and confused. I asked the employee to bring a card machine as i had no cash; i was expecting to settle the bill upon leaving in the morning. I spoke with the restaurant Manager (female) in the morning, she explained that was policy. However, the hotel had my telephone number so they could have telephoned me before sending 2 men to the room door. The manageress was not in anyway apologetic or understanding that my mother was petrified the rest of the night. And to add insult the room did not come with breakfast so on top of the £115 for the room and £97 for the meal and terrorized by the 2 bouncers sent up to the room, i was to fork out another £25; no thanks. So sad as I have fond memories of dining at the hawes inn for many years and way before the refurbishment. customer service just not there.

The windows didn't stay open . Room was very stuffy and warm. Staff serving too many people at once - not very attentive .

The room had a sea view which was perfect . Room was a fair size - Very large Double Bed . En-suite was big enough and clean . Big tv on wall.

Bar closed a little earlier than we thought and as we were there with our friends we would have liked to have sat a little longer but staff very friendly

WiFi took a while to get started.
