How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

it was very basic, but it is what you pay for, would have liked a small mirror to sit and do make up and hair at, but that is just the only thing!

We would have liked bigger cups.
Comfortable bed. Room was spotless. Shower was easy to operate and hot water was plentiful. Room had everything we could possibly need, kettle, iron, ironing board, fridge, tea and coffee, toiletries, television and was very dog friendly. 11 o'clock checkout which was nice. Gita was friendly and very helpful, made us feel extremely welcome.

Nothing particularly, carpet had been burnt with the iron previously tv took a bit to sort as no remote but all negligible really. It did what it said on the tin and was modern for the price . It was terrible evening weather wise so ended up back at the room earlier than planned ... wouldn't have noticed these things if had been just putting our heads down fir the night as planned.
Ideal for what we required, stay over for the Christmas markets owner very informative and receptive Clean , comfortable onsite parking reflective price

cracked tiles on bathroom floor shower hose split needs replacing no shelf in shower cubicle for soap/shampoo etc leaking radiator, leading to it dripping all night ironing board needs to be replaced broken double socket needs replacing shelf only for tea/coffee facilities, too small. poor selection of beverage making facilities general tlc required

Bed was too small and mattress too hard. Needs TLC in areas, beading on floor under bath needs replacing. Hand wash in dispenser would have been nice. Needs painting bottom of window in bedroom where it appears there's a damp patch. Plug needs attaching to chain on bath as quite difficult pull out after a bath.
Bathroom lovely. Style of apartment good taste. Good local restaurants to go to. Staff member who greeted us was lovely.

Nothing it was great.
This hotel is in a brilliant quiet leafy but convenient location for Manchester with parking. Trams, Train and Uber (15 mins trip into Arena). The owners are super friendly and helpful. The beds really comfy. The local village has loads of facilities and eateries.

No electric car charging as that would be just perfect
location was perfect and off street parking was very good to have it. It has lot of shops and resurants which are walking distance

No restaurant for breakfast but understandable.
Due to COVID situation the restaurant was not open and breakfast was served in your room. It was a bit awkward as it had to be eaten sitting on the bed which isn’t ideal but this is not the normal situation.

Rooms small with only a vanity basin in the shower room. Not enough tea and coffee for two nights. Reception bell not answered. Was "told off" by receptionist when I phoned. Apparently I should have read my email. Some people have other things on their mind other than to read the THREE emails it took to arrange a simple room. Reception was a woman in a car park. Car park small when busy - danger of being blocked in or blocking in others. Breakfast was not available (short staffed) - and we were informed AFTER it was too late to cancel!
Smartly presented rooms. Quiet.
