The rooms are dated and ours wasn’t that clean. Breakfast was good, it was £10 each even for a child which we pre booked otherwise it would have been £12.99!! Very expensive.

The location was good, we attended a wedding at the hotel, that was catered for brilliantly

Breakfast was rather disappointing in that it is buffet style. The hot food had been clearly left to stand for a long time and was therefore a little unappetising. Possibly a more varied choice would be appreciated as well - fresh fruit salad and museli for instance. It was very basic for a AA 4* hotel.

The friendly and helpful staff especially Ashleigh and Olivia on reception who helped us with our bookings. They were very understanding of our situation as we were booking daily to accommodate the impending arrival of our granddaughter in Clayton le Woods. Beverly looked after us at breakfast and was great! The rooms were very well equipped - clean, fresh and comfortable.

Travelling to meet old school friends the reception staff on my arrival were so friendly and helpful. My room although basic was just what I needed . I have to say the bed was so comfy, perfect after such a long journey and night drinking with friends.

Food on the evening poor quality, poor presentation and very over priced. Breakfast adequate but underwhelming. No fruit ltd choice of yoghourts, scrambled eggs separated, fried eggs hard and tough.

Room could of been a little cleaner and room needed a little TLC but overall still satisfactory.

when awaking the next morning to discover the bed linen was dirty on the inside after I’d slept in it and it wasn’t from myself 🤢 rooms not cleaned properly from previous guest as we found loose change and bits of rubbish

I had paid via booking.com but he was insisting that I paid at the property and said they the price I paid was wrong. just as well I have the banking app to show I had paid. I wasn’t impressed.

Booked a ‘standard’ room which was on the ground floor - room was tired, musty and the bathroom was unacceptable (grime around the shower screen / dirty looking) Informed reception, but told had to pay an additional £15 to ‘upgrade’ to an Executive room - this room was much better - but unhappy that I had to pay for a ‘clean / suitable’ room

rooms are dated, beds very uncomfortable, something wrong with the electrics which required the bulb to be removed from bedside lamp to turn it off,no toilet paper left in room all leisure facilities not available. We have stayed here on numerous occasions but this was a complete disaster

We were also disappointed that the hotel have closed the swimming pool and spa area even though it was still advertised on the website.

The Staff had a lovely stay. Staff were amazing. The room was nice bed was very comfy but the shelves where the kettle etc were kept were so dusty we could write our names in the dust. The bathroom was also dusty. Food was excellent

still never get a receipt from reception every time I stay, i need one for my business expenses, always say they will email it over but I never receive it....
