Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property was perfect for our family of four. If anything we felt we were under-using the space and facilities as it is so roomy. There is a very large Aga in the kitchen which acts as a central heater for the home making everything warm - during our summer stay we had to open up the rear conservatory to keep things cool but that was no issue and it provides a space to unwind after the hot tub! Killin was great and we particularly enjoyed August’s Highland Games.

United KingdomWas quite difficult to find, used sat nav but it stops half way down a road and didn’t think we could go much further but it’s actually further down a track road. Also didn’t know the name of the cottage. noticed there’s another cottage with the same name, tried phoning but their phone went straight to voicemail and no call back.
It is very spacious, Has absolutely everything you would need, showers are amazing, beds are so comfortable, all on one level

United Kingdom- aga offered an interesting experience, we baked brownies and an apple pie which both turned out great. However, cooking Asian food was challenging - Knives in the kitchen need a bit of sharpening, or providing a sharpening tool in the kitchen would be great. A small sharp non serrated blade would also be useful. -
- spacious hot tub with star gazing at a clear night - nice welcome pack from the host - convenient utilities such as fancy double door fridge and dishwasher - very cosy conservatory with heated floor for toastie feet

United KingdomWe were a group of 4 female friends who had an absolutely amazing time. The photos certainly don't do the property & views justice. The views from the whole house are stunning and the property has so much room and is extremely well equipped. Sitting in the hot tub with the views or watching the stars at night was perfect. If you fancy an amazing drive then you must visit Ben Lawers. The scenic road through the park goes past the parking for hiking then on to the dam and on again into the valley beyond where the views are simply fantastic. There is even a coffee shop at the end and the road continues in a circular direction to bring you back to Killin by the A827 and the side of the loch.

United KingdomThere is a lot of walking routes around which was lovely but not so many places to eat after 5pm. We had a very nice dinner in the dog friendly restaurant nearby but would wish to have a bigger choice as where to dine. There is only one Co-op with limited products close by, bigger supermarkets like Asda or Tesco are over an hour drive.
We have stayed in the holiday home 31 August until 2nd September for 3 nights. The house is lovely, very spacious and is equipped in everything you could wish for (washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc). We loved the fact that each bedroom had it's own bathroom and our dog enjoyed the big garden the most. The huge kitchen and conservatory with the big dining table and underfloor heating were our favourite spots, we also liked spending evenings in very clean and hot jaccuzzi. We had the best time in your home and would happily come back again without hesitation.

United KingdomThe location was quiet and beautiful. The view from the cottage window was stunning - around the mountains, a river, and colorful heathers and daffodils in the garden. Relaxing in a large hot tub, we listened to the birds singing and admired the views around us. The house is decorated to a high standard, and well-equipped. I can recommend it to everyone!
