The standard of cleaning was poor, there was a large cobweb in the corner of the room, a big stain on the end of the bed and dead flies on the window sill. The bed was two singles pushed together.

Food could have been better. Some good dishes (beetroot and red pepper burger 🙂); some poor (scrambled eggs ☹️). Coffee dispenser at breakfast was awful.

Because I can’t do stairs very well, we were on the lowest floor. Still lots of steps up and down to get to our room. Perhaps the worst is the front entrance with 4 big steps, no handrail or wall. Food was okay, but why dinner in the cold garden room in the winter? Breakfast was in the warmer dining room, which would have been nice for dinner too.

The apartment we were put to stay in was in a very poor state of cleanliness. Toilet flush was not working,bathroom sink leaking, door to the apartment was very difficult to open. In my opinion,The apartment had not had a thorough clean or inspection by senior managers in some time. I have collected evidence for the cleaning team and management to review.

The inside is in need of an update. The decor hasn’t changed in the last 9 years. The bar has the same green wallpaper and furniture. The confusing dining room seems to be designed to have either a Greek or Roman theme with ugly looking busts staring at you while you eat, this robs the room of any atmosphere and it felt like we were eating in a library just waiting to be told to be quiet

That is was quite outdated and a little rough around the edges for what you pay. The food was quite average - burgers, pizzas etc. I severely missed vegetables and fruit throughout the weekend!

The property has seen better days but the staff try do the best they can with the facilities and completely make up for the fact that a bit of renovation needs to be done. The treatments in the spa were fab, there was flexibility from the staff to make us feel special. They were great!

The water from the pool was very cold, i came for a relaxing spa day but i didn't used the pool and the water from jacuzzi had a lot of chlorine my eyes was sore and itchy because of that water, I've been not more than 15 minutes in the spa.

It states no children in pool after 7pm but at 8pm there were several >15 year olds bombing and diving in the pool, running around and In and out of the sauna and steam room, staff present but nothing was said

The first night no control for the TV...but the next day we had 1 ... to be honest I did not find anything to complain about...

The whole building..and staff and location. .a quality hotel. Our stay was very enjoyable. ...the whole place was so eligent..the only down side was no lift... but walking up the stairs to our west wing was a treat ..... I'd like the thank all the staff for making our stay pleasurable. The bar man in the small bar did a fantastic job .. many thanks to everyone ... I was sorry that water in the pool was little cool but the jacuzzi and sauna was great ...
