Amazing location, parking was a massive bonus and the room and property was beautiful, the bed comfy and the attention to detail was lovely. Was running a little late so didn't make in person check in but having the keys left in a safe for us was really handy for check in.

Although we were upgraded I had informed hotel my husband had difficulty walking and we were provided with a spa bath that neither he nor I could access because of two huge steps and a lip which was needed to be climbed to reach bath. Very cold in rooms. My husband mentioned it first night but nothing was done about it. Accept it was an old property.

Nothing exceptional. Breakfast good - provided in hotel opposite

    Everything ok

Only stayed for one night but everything was excellent, room spaceous, bathroom had great shower and spar bath, onsite parking and even though we had to go to the sister hotel opposite for breakfast which was amazing we liked it all. The hotel had lots of history to offer which showed in the decor around the building. Location not too far from the town or beach.

It was really cold in the room, as it is so big the radiator should have been left on low. Towel rail in bathroom also off so the floor was freezing! There are lots of windows but curtains cover them although the morning light came through top windows.

The room was much bigger than we thought, Seemed to be seeped in history. The area was well laid out and was nice to sit and watch tv on a sofa. Bed was beautiful and bathroom very nice and modern with 2 showers in case you don't want to get your hair wet!

Old heating system in historic old property and the heating was on and the place was like a sauna. My room was ok because I had the window open the whole time and through the night. The bathroom was small but cute, but not clean, the bath looked clean but when you run your hand on it there was definitely bath scum/tide mark, so I had a shower, sealant around bath and sink not clean and mouldy. The bedroom was clean but the bathroom could do with a thorough clean.

Location, parking, large room and comfortable bed, friendly staff and in person check in which is lovely. Gorgeous linen and towels. Very quiet even with the window open, so I had a great nights sleep. Delicious cooked breakfast and buffet at the sister hotel, Derby Manor across the road

Breakfast was very good, the toilet didn't have enough pressure and the rood had spiderwebs.

The pressure of the toilet wasn't sufficient to take anything and when we complained about it staff couldn't provide any solution. Given that we had this issue, my husband attempted to go to the public restrooms in the building but it was completely clogged. I understand it's an old construction, but I believe they shouldn't be booking these rooms in this condition and major work must be done. Also, the roof of our room was full of spiderwebs.

The breakfast was very good, although it was served in the hotel across the street.

We only stayed one night so there was nothing we didn't like. When we arrived there looked like an electric car charger but it was not operational. We have a full electric car so it would have been useful but we found a charger along the sea front the following day , so not a problem

Good value for money . Receptionist welcoming and efficient. It is an old building so fabulously quirky and classic. We had room 1 , a suite , slightly raised bath but as we have no mobility issues was fine. Wandered next door for breakfast into a sister hotel which was like an updated version on ours. Breakfast was plentiful , there was enough to choose from and the cooked element very tasty. Very pleased with our nights stay

Good value for money, but the breakfast arrangements let it down a bit.
    • Leisure trip

The main disadvantage is that breakfast is served in the sister hotel, which is not so much next door but across a road. Weather was fine, but this isn't clear until you've already booked, and even then the fine details (like having to cross a road) aren't mentioned.

The room was comfortable with a high ceiling which made it feel spacious, and looked out onto a small private garden Breakfast was good quality

Bath and shower facilities were very poor. No cold water in bath taps! Shower was only a dribble and unusable. The jacuzzi controls don’t work and the television screen in the bathroom was inoperable. This represents a serious set of problems for an expensive ensuite room. The hotel should provide a part-refund on this basis.

The room size was amazing and the building was attractive. Good parking facilities. Staff friendly.

It's a very fashioned hotel. No air conditioning, bar or restaurant. The furniture and decor, was acceptable, are looking tired. The walls are thin and the TV in the next room could easily be heard.

Good location for the beach, about 15 minutes walk, 30 minutes into town and about the same to the football ground. Breakfast was taken at the sister hotel across the road and this was good also. Value for money was the main plus however. I had the best nights sleep I've had in weeks which is also a positive.
