No vegan options for food, other family members paid the same price for their room, but their room was very small and outdated.

It would have been nice if we'd been told there would be workmen making a lot of noise from 10:15 pm to 11:30 pm on our first night there. We had to leave early the following morning, so didn't have time to mention it to the staff. There was no problem the following night.

The fact there was a welcoming sign in reception and staff were manning the bar, as experienced in other establishments you’d expect to be acknowledged and given instructions to sign in , after standing some embarrassing 10mins I approached the bar no apology was given for ignoring me e.g. How can I help.

Food was excellent. The arrangements for the wedding meal included.

We had a room at the front which faced the road. As they point out, it is a listed building so the windows are only single glazed and so it was a bit noisy but the traffic died down later and it was quiet for the rest of the night.

It’s a lovely historic old coaching in. The room was comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was a nice touch. The restaurant was good and we enjoyed the food. Despite it being straight after the New Year, the staff were very friendly and helpful even though they must feel they could do with a break after a very busy couple of weeks.

All the staff could be trained to do check-in as two ladies had to find someone else who could. I wouldn't have had such a long wait if all staff were trained to do it.

Comfortable bed. Room had everything I needed. I always bring my own herbal tea bags for the room when I stay away as there are usually only normal tea or green tea bags.as standard.

Prefer cooked breakfasts to continental style but there was plenty of food and drink - nobody will starve! Parking is hit and miss but we found a spot down adjacent side street where there are spaces.

Retained feel and looks of older building. Clean, real fires, staff were pleasant. Quiet to say that we were on the main road - didn’t lose any sleep over any noises.

The standard of the first room I was given was not 3 star. The heating was broken so I was given a second room which was much better and in keeping with what I'd expect. Continental breakfast was nice.

Glass panels were secured in a frame to the window. Information said call a number in emergency. But if there was a fire I wouldn't have been able to break this. The clock tower right outside goes off every 15 minutes, threw the night. Also no way of who was knocking on my door. No viewing hole. When booking it didn't specify that our rooms were outside of the main hotel. I had to change this at extra cost when arriving due to multiple steps and stairs to outside rooms.

The front of house staff were lovlie. A warm greeting. Accommodating when requested to change rooms. Restaurant was nice away from the bar area. Food was at good pricing. Waiting staff great, nothing was ant trouble.

Wallpaper peeling. Stains on drawers and sides. The dust inside the fan wasn't great. Also dust on lamps. Not great the we couldn't park near due to a festival which was right outside the room until quite late really. The pictures on Booking.com were not a true reflection.

Pleasant staff. Nice breakfast. Beautiful lighting in the room through the original sash windows. Bed comfy and smelled lovely too.

My fault - I didn't say that my partner was 95 and stairs are difficult, but there wasn't any facility to explain that through the booking system. I don't think I could find your telephone number until the last email.

Building work started 9am on Sunday morning so couldn't have a lie in,also bar shut early Saturday night would have liked to have come back and have a drink ,
