Shower was cold for some reason and both mornings I had to turn the thermostat up to maximum. Even then it would run cold every now and then. I had booked a king size bed but in reality it was two single beds pushed together. The fitting of the sheets kind of made up for this, but you could still feel the join between the two quite strongly.

Location right next to Borough Station is fantastic. The building doesn't look like much from outside but the bedroom was surprisingly spacious. Internally is was decorated in a modern style and was clean.

We were there during a refitting so hopefully the shared bathrooms were revamped. One had broken toilet seat & the other had no lights. They were still clean with plenty on towels, bath mats etc.

Extremely handy to Borough Market, Southbank & tube staion. Nice and basic twin room with shared bathroom.

Check-out time rather early at 10 am. Check-in process was a bit confusing since I was sent two links with different room, had to carry our luggage up and down.

The location was superb, right next to tube station. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was nice as well since we asked to leave luggage after check-out

The room was pretty worn down. Lots of stains on the carpet, some dust on bathroom lights that didn't turn on, marks on walls, part of the shower was broken. The room had obviously been cleaned but I think it needed a deep clean, re-paint, cracks filled, wall art fixed (the frame was falling apart), etc. (it looked like work was being done on the hotel so this may be rectified in the near future) They had floor protection down in the corridor so I think they're currently re-painting the place which will make a big difference. Note I wasn't disturbed by and work being carried out (couldn't smell paint or hear any building work). Rooms aren't soundproof and you're right above a tube station so it's not silent, not a huge issue for me and they do provide ear plugs. I only heard other guests when they were in the corridor - there was a slight gap under the door. I think soundproofing the doors would go a long way, and the rumble from the tube was hardly noticeable. There are vents in the window that can be closed to block outside noises which worked wonders when I discovered them. There's no lift, only 3 floors but may be an issue for some. You enter your room and the hotel (after 8pm) using a website, it's a bit of a clunky system and they hadn't emailed me the details (my email had been written into their system wrong), luckily I arrived at 7.30pm so someone at reception could let me in and re-send the details, but had I arrived later I'd have been stuck outside unsure of what to do. Maybe sending the link for this through booking.com's messaging system would be better. Once this system was working it worked well. I don't believe there are any staff on site over night, reception is closed.

Amazing location, literally next door to Borough station where you're straight on the northern line. There are stores on the road for food and a KFC down the road. Short walk (or one stop) to London Bridge which connects to the rest of London. Bed was large, comfortable and clean. Good water pressure. Friendly staff. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a couple of biscuits that were replaced each day. Good sized bathroom. No air-con but fans provided in room. Large window with black-out blind (not much of a view but a decent amount of natural light). I'm not sure if these were for non-ensuite rooms, but there was bathrooms in the hallway which looked clean and would be ideal if two are sharing a room and both need to use the bathroom at the same time.

There were handymen in the corridors, repainting walls and the stairs, so there was a strong smell of paint. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy, and when closing the bathroom door, the cover fell off. The shower drain was blocked. The mirror light in the bathroom didn't work.

Great location, and clean room and communal shower rooms. The cracked loo seat could do with replacing. I stayed Mon - Friday, and the first 3 nights were good. Thursday night, when I guess more guests are here for a night out, the neighbouring room kept me awake with his snoring, then vomiting in his sink for about half an hour. Not pleasant at all, but to be fair that could happen at any hotel. I guess the difference is they would make it to their bathroom if it was en-suite. Other than that, a comfortable stay, and good location for my job.

I chose the hotel based on two things, price & proximity to where I needed to go. On arrival the young lady on reception was very helpful in guiding me through the procedure on using my phone to unlock my room, she then very kindly upgraded me to an ensuite room, which was very welcome. The hotel is currently getting spruced up, so looked a bit rough going to the rooms. But these things are necessary & didn't faze me. Both girls on reception on my 2 night stay are a great asset to thid hotel. With their kind & friendly manner.

Carpet looked worse for wear and could use a professional clean but the dissapointing part was that there was some work done on our corridor which we were not made aware of prior to arrival. This is more of a health and safety comment than anything else. I understand that maintenance needs to be carried out but when popping to our room around 5 pm in the afternoon, with our entire corridor covered in choking dust due to doors and boards being sanded... well not the best of experiences. We were only back for a few minutes to pick up our stuff but we had to leave the window open...

This is my second time staying as i have been before with a friend. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, many thanks to the gentleman who checked us in and helped me that same morning when i called regarding our reservation info. Location was great as right next to underground and rooms basic and had everything you need. .

Brilliant location with so many well known attractions nearby, including Borough Market. Being on the 3rd floor, it was pretty hot in the room. We were provided with a fan which definitely helped. Very comfortable bed.
