How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Maintenance needs improvement. It took two days for fixing the shower door. The air conditioned broke on my second day of stay and it wasn't fixed. They haven't change me for another room, but they arranged a fan, which took two days to get it. I could see that there was a communication issue between the staff and the management.
The location is very convenient and gives lots of alternatives for food & drinks, as well as to move around. Breakfast is good, but I would suggest adding a coulple of different fruits instead of banana, orange and apple, e.g, pineaple and peach, and some natural juices. I would like to praise the receptionist Paris, always attentive and polite.

The room was a bit small, not too bad for 1 night but wouldn't have wanted to be there longer. No room to lay your case out and unpack.
We booked a Friday night at very short notice due to rail strikes taking place in April 2024. Right next to Paddington and not too noisy considering the location and the Tube running. A great starting point if you are arriving in London for the first time from a long journey, want to touch down and recharge. Very pleasant Front of House and Reception staff. Frankie & Benny's for Breakfast - if you want a fry up and nothing too special, it's good vfm and the staff were very engaging.

Everytime we’ve stayed there has been sparking plug sockets. I aren’t told about maids just letting themselves into ur room for fresh towels it says u needed to let them know if u needed new towels and we didn’t they just let themselves in whilst we were out and an expensive face cream I had had a big hole dug out of it when I returned which confused me as I have a little spatula I use for it and it’s very expensive so I don’t over indulge in that way but there was a clump missing from it on return
It’s located very central to everything and we like that it’s on paddingtons doorstep so u can get off the train and check in ur luggage straight away so u can go about ur time spent there no issues

Rooms look nothing like what was shown online (at least mine didn't, and they gave me an upgrade!) Room was tiny, noise from other doors on the floor opening and slamming were annoying. Breakfast was okay, nothing special.

Size of the room. Kettle didn’t work. But they did replace and Tv didn’t work but they sent a guy to sort it however you don’t expect to have these problems.
Location was great as it is right next to Paddington Station and we were on a trip that left early morning from the station

The air con wasn’t up to scratch. I like it FREEZING and it was a big factor for selecting the hotel. The hotel was undergoing refurbishment which was unavoidable but there was noise.
The receptionist was so friendly. I got a complimentary upgrade which was fantastic. The room had no view but there was a mini fridge that came with complimentary products.

If the heating/air con had been working and the room had been bigger.
The heating/air con was not working. The room was too small for a 'standard double room'; it was more like a small double room.

It was very warm in the room as we can't change the AC mode from heater to AC (t was end of Dec). So we turned-off the AC and opened the window (we can only open the window slightly) but it was not enough as the window overlooking into a small airwell.
Our room were upgraded to the biggest room on the floor, room 419. There's coffee maker in the room with complimentary soft drinks in the fridge. Big room and bathroom. comfortable bed.

The hotel I'd booked into was overbooked, so they moved me to their sister hotel a short walk away .I was physically exhausted by that stage, having travelled for 12 hrs on a plane, then walking around Heathrow -customs ,baggage reclaim etc, then finding train station, & eventually reaching hotel...........only to find I wasn't staying there!! Room was tiny & the "complimentary" drinks cabinet was switched off, so nothing was cold. The a/c unit also didn't work, so I opened the window for some air
Great bathroom & nice quiet location in a pretty square & the complimentary breakfast helped set me up for the next leg of my journey!

Lift was not well working, wifi was not stable, AC made noise and trans sound to the room.
Just 1 minute from Paddington station where we can easily access to LHR airport and other places. Fastfood and Pubs are everywhere around the station.

There were a few hiccups with my card and there were a couple times where staff weren’t as friendly
