To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PolandIt was very hot in the room, but the windows could be opened so ok. There were some trubles with the water in the shower - very low pressure and loud cracking noises in 2/3 nights.
Room was small (as on pictures and in room description), but it had everything you need for a short time stay. There was even charger with USB output in the wall, and electrical socket with european output - no need to use an adapter. There were elevators inside to reach the upper floors. Very beautiful neighborhood, with lots of shops, bakerys and pubs. Very close to the metro station.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast is not worth £20. Online description is way off and price listed online is much less than what I was charged (£13.95 online). They only had decaf pods for the coffee machine and the eggs were cold. This of course was discovered after I had already filled out the paper with my room info and some of the group had made plates so it was too late to change our minds. There are lots of cafés nearby that are much more deserving of your money. Very disappointed in that experience.
The location is nice, close to Portobello Market and 5 minute walk to Bayswater station. Reception was friendly and able to provide an extra blanket when I asked. Water pressure in the shower was good.

The hotel is perfectly locatet in a quiet side street close to several tube stations. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was not very large but ok, the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean and probably recently renovated. The shower worked well. Breakfast was good. Will definetly come back.

The room was clean and a hair dryer helped me warm when I got wet from the rain. Everyone there is so nice and friendly, so I'm happy to recommend London House Hotel to people from other countries.
