Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I paid for breakfast for our 10 days but only ate there once. I was disappointed in what was offered. I asked for a refund but was told it wasn’t possible since I booked the stay through Booking.Com

You can hear everything through the walls. The Wi-Fi connection was awful which meant for a work trip I couldn’t do any online work in my room using the hotel wifi
It was close to shops and tube stations.

It was very hot in the room, but the windows could be opened so ok. There were some trubles with the water in the shower - very low pressure and loud cracking noises in 2/3 nights.
Room was small (as on pictures and in room description), but it had everything you need for a short time stay. There was even charger with USB output in the wall, and electrical socket with european output - no need to use an adapter. There were elevators inside to reach the upper floors. Very beautiful neighborhood, with lots of shops, bakerys and pubs. Very close to the metro station.

Very small room, smaller than what it looks in the images. Not ideal if you are staying for longer than a few days.
Very clean rooms, good location for a tourist; close to tube stations, many bus lines and walking distance to Hyde Park, Notting Hill and other areas of interest.

I had a few issues with the room. I couldn’t lock the door, however when I reported that they fixed it. There is no information about how to use the hairdryer - I know it sounds silly but I’ve never seen a hair dryer function the way that one does…

The breakfast is not worth £20. Online description is way off and price listed online is much less than what I was charged (£13.95 online). They only had decaf pods for the coffee machine and the eggs were cold. This of course was discovered after I had already filled out the paper with my room info and some of the group had made plates so it was too late to change our minds. There are lots of cafés nearby that are much more deserving of your money. Very disappointed in that experience.
The location is nice, close to Portobello Market and 5 minute walk to Bayswater station. Reception was friendly and able to provide an extra blanket when I asked. Water pressure in the shower was good.

Staff was very lovely and helpful. Rooms were clean, neat and had everything you could need. The neighbourhood was such a surprise! Lovely neighbourhood with lots of cafes and shops! The tube is also nearby

Our mattress dipped in the middle and the pillows not comfortable. But obviously that is down to personal preference.
Friendly staff and efficient. Room clean, breakfast adequate.

I personally don't like carpets in hotel rooms.
The hotel is perfectly locatet in a quiet side street close to several tube stations. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was not very large but ok, the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean and probably recently renovated. The shower worked well. Breakfast was good. Will definetly come back.

Staff rather unfriendly not even greeting us when we arrived. There was no interaction that was polite and pleasant on their side at the reception.

I would been happier If my room was warmer, especially evening. Breakfast is fine. I wish I had a toothbrush in my room and no stairs outside and inside.
The room was clean and a hair dryer helped me warm when I got wet from the rain. Everyone there is so nice and friendly, so I'm happy to recommend London House Hotel to people from other countries.
