Fabulous property to stay at. Had everything you needed for cooking etc, really well supplied Lovely location in the countryside without being too remote. Beds were incredibly comfortable and we had a great long weekend stay.

The house was a fantastic size for 6 of us 4 adults 2 youths, house was comfortable and cosy, bedrooms where big and comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, it is a working farm and hearing the tractors 🚜 in the morning was great will definitely book again

Great location, close to Whithorn, Isle of Whithorn and Wigtown. Brilliant communication from the owner. The farmhouse was spotlessly clean and well presented. Nice little touches such as milk, tea, coffee, sugar and a cake. Really useful information left at the farmhouse regarding local walks and places to visit. Would definitely book again 😍

Not down to the owners but the dirt road down to the house is quite bumpy, I think due to the tractors of the farm next door, bit of a suspension killer if you drive too fast

I felt a bit sorry for the owner Amy, as the dishwasher and washing machine both broke down before we arrived. The dishwasher wasn't an issue, but the washing machine was a bit of an issue due to coming back from mountain biking each day with muddy clothes. Amy very kindly took a load away to wash one day for us, but we ended up having to take quite a lot of dirty clothes back home. As I said though Amy was very apologetic and it was complelty out of her control. Finally, Amy brought us a box of home baking which was absolutely delicious. Huge thank you for that. We'd definitely come back here in future.

Beautiful house in a peaceful location. We loved the way the house was decorated and the space for our family. We had everything we needed to make meals and also really appreciated the delicious cake left for us on arrival. The surrounding area is beautiful with so much to discover, we loved the guide left at the property and used the ideas in to discover some lovely places. We would love to return.

There was a temporary problem with the front door because there was a storm and some damp got in. Our hosts were very responsive and came around immediately to see what could be done to ease our access.

The house was incredibly comfortable, clean and spacious. The kitchen was much better equipped than most self-catering places I've been to. The table tennis table was a great bonus. It was also extremely quiet. I was surprised how few tourists there were in the area, considering it was the Easter holidays. Amy and her husband were very responsive, helpful and friendly.

More saucepans would have been helpful to prepare family meals. There is no window screening in the back shower room.

Games room was lovely surprise. The house was recently decorated, everything felt new, clean and uncluttered. The WiFi connection was good. Plus we enjoyed the use of the fire TV stick.

There’s nothing to dislike about Longhill.

The new shower suite is just amazing. The fireplace in the sitting room is just the perfect room to unwind and enjoy with family and friends. It’s cozy and warm and fully relaxes you. I love the kitchen at Longhill Farmhouse. It’s fully stocked with everything you need. It’s big and bright, cooking in it is a joy. The beautiful large garden outside provides wide open views of the night sky and the stars and Milky Way are so clear and visible. This makes a great trip for us stargazers and Astro photographers.

As it was on farm land there were a lot of flies including dead ones in the light fittings. The dishwasher had seen better days and the freezer was noisy at night & could be heard in the bedroom above. Due to location the internet speed was limited but understandable due to location.

On arrival we there was homemade lemon drizzle cake, tea, coffee and milk along with fresh flowers to welcome us to the house. There was plenty of room for a family with excellent sized bedrooms, high quality bedding and comfortable beds. Having 2 bathrooms was ideal.
