Lounge was large and very comfortable, as was the bedroom. Located in the centre of town, close to takeaway shops and restaurants. An enjoyable stroll.

Its not major, but the mattress is fairly solid and the pillows are very flat, but it's very manageable.

The location is excellent. The flat is very clean, fully equipped and very spacious.

Decor was rather tired and shabby in places. Having more than 2 mugs in the kitchen would be useful. The bathroom needs a hook - somewhere to hang towels, and more than one hanger in bedroom would be beneficial.

The flat was initially a little chilly, but the host WhatsApped quickly to let me know how to turn on the heating.

I needed both duvets to keep warm (maybe spare duvet/blanket would be good). I got a bit chilly and was not sure how to turn on the heating, but there is an electric fan fire in the sitting room, so was fine in the end. The decoration needs a bit of TLC in some places, but was fine overall.

Nice little flat in a good location. Clean. Had the basic things needed for a self catering two night stay. Good shower - with a lovely flow of hot water. Very responsiive host via WhatsApp.

The property was extremely damp. The smell due to dampness was awful. So bad we could not spend much time in the property.The bed quilts were damp and we had to purchase a new quilt for one of the beds to use during our stay. I had to purchase some furry bed slippers, of which I had to wear in bed.The kitchen utensils were awful. Saucepans so badly burnt. Grease in oven trays. One teatowel for use for 10 days. The windows were filthy and the back yard at the property was disgusting.. 2 forks, 2 mugs, 4 bowls and 4 dinner plates no tea plates. There was no wardrobe to hang clothes. There was two pieces of wood high up in the corner of the bedroom with 1 hanger on it to hang clothes. It was so high I couldn't reach it. My friends, who live in the area, gave me some hangers and had to hang the clothes up for me as he is over 6ft tall. The electric fire in the sitting room was the heat source and I had to heat my clothes by it, before I could wear them as they became damp in the extremely damp property. The owner informed me that he knew about the dampness prior to renting the property out and is puting a bulldozer into the property to rip out the floors, in early September. This property should never have been on your booking site as a suitable holiday property.

Had to clean the pans before we used them as there was sticky grease all over them, so we used 2 kettles of boiling water on that; felt like a student bedsit. Maybe I'm out of touch with prices, but in Newcastle upon Tyne, I can get a beautiful double room in the Copthorne Hotel for £90 plus breakfast.. Just felt this was far removed from that. Sorry, but that's my feeling.

The flat is great, cost, everything you need, good for the town but on the river and nice park beside it. The beds were comfortable, the shower is fabulous. Owner sent all the information we required, we had a question and he answered immediately.

The kitchen drawers/cupboards were dirty, spiders and webs in both, knives, forks, cups, plates and bowls had to be washed before use as they were too dirty to use. fridge wasnt clean, there was no cloth, there was no washing up liquid, kitchen needed an overall good gutting! The bathroom ceiling was flaking off, particularly over the shower, wasnt very clean!

The location was fantastic, as was the parking, the beds were comfy, bedroom was nice and big, couches were also comfy, finding the flat and entering the premises was also easy, communication was quite good.
