Not too keen on rooms in the eaves, find rooms a bit claustrophobic and bumped head on sloping ceilings and beam. Would request a different room on next visit.

There was very little that we didn't like! The fresh fruit for breakfast was the same every day - bananas, blueberries and sliced grapes. It would have been nice to have had a bit more of a selection, maybe some sliced melon which isn't too expensive. We found the limited headroom in our room a bit of a nuisance, and the sloping ceiling meant that the hospitality tray was on a very low table (knee level) which meant kneeling on the floor, or bending over to make a hot drink. We were able to do this, but anyone with knee / back problems may find this difficult. However, this is an excellent B and B and we wouldn't hesitate to book again, we would just request a different room to suit our needs.

We were contacted by the hosts to say that we could park the car and leave it there if we arrived before check in time (4:00) We did this, which meant that we had an hour or two to walk around and have a drink in the pub opposite. Nick was very welcoming and offered to help us with our bags. We were on the second floor, which meant our room was in the eaves. The bed was super comfy and the pillows / duvet were of good quality. The en-suite was a bit of a tight squeeze because of the door opening inwards, but everything was of a high standard and spotlessly clean. The shower was excellent, good pressure and a good temperature. The towels were lovely and soft. Nick and Alison request that you put in your breakfast order the night before. You also write the time you are likely to be at breakfast so that you don't have to wait long for your breakfast. The breakfast room is lovely and full of character. English breakfasts are freshly cooked to order and piping hot and Nick is the perfect host, checking if everything is ok, or if you wanted anything else. The whole property is newly decorated and immaculate; each room has a different theme (sheep pen, goat pen etc) and different features. There are clear descriptions of each room on the website. The property has onsite parking.

Bit noisy with the passing traffic, especially at night.

Excellent room and location, breakfast was a good choice of cooked and buffet style options. Very friendly and helpful owners, who were on hand to assist with local information, and to explain about the best places to go and how to get around.

The only downside, the bathroom was very narrow.

The en suite is narrow in the horse room

Comfortable bed. Only had one breakfast but the full English was very good. Bacon and sausage very tasty. Overall very good. Nick very friendly as host. Very convenient for the town for walking in. Room nicely decorated and very clean. Nice touch with biscuits and with access to real milk in a thermos.

Everything was excellent. Immaculate property, friendly hosts, comfy, great breakfast. Perfect position for town centre and for exploring the New Forest. We've travelled for many years and this was one of the best venues.

Marked down one small point as the rooms in the roof are quite restrictive, but next time would ask for a first floor room.
