Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower in our room was very small, and you had to keep the bathroom door closed in case steam from the shower set off the smoke alarms. It was ok for one night.
Location was great, particularly for access to Kings Cross and St Pancras railway stations, very clean, 24 hour reception, next door to a pub which sold tasty, reasonably priced food for London. Breakfast was simple but nice. Rooms small and basic but had what you needed for a short overnight stay in London.

LithuaniaThe room (and I guess the other rooms also) requires the capital maintenance for more comfortable stay. But overall, this is not an issue for a short-term stay.
Hotel is located in great location. There are about 5 min walk the main train stations (St. Pancras and King Cross St.) and metro which allow you to travel to popular tourist's objects and also more important is that the stations can take you directly to Luton airport. There was also a great breakfast

United KingdomDon't really like having to leave my key at reception when I leave the hotel, I'm sure all the staff are trustworthy but I still worried about anyone accessing my room. Only 2 plug sockets in room, one for kettle, one for TV meaning I had to unplug something to charge the phone.socket is also too far away from bed, meaning I couldn't leave it overnight and set an alarm that wouldn't disturb anyone.
The accommodation is basic and in need of decorating which gives it the appearance of being shabby , but the staff make up for this. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.. Breakfast was great and again the staff went out of their to help. The hotel is literally next to a pub that serves hot food and shows live sports.

United KingdomThis would have a much lower rating if it wasn't for the price and the staff. I paid £59 for the room at midnight on a Saturday, and I absolutely got a £59 room at midnight on a Saturday lol. The rooms themselves are a bit of an issue, it's best not to look at the walls or carpet. I think the toilet/shower I was in used to be a wet room because there's a drain hole in the floor which was pretty caked in hair in there. I know you can get a Travelodge that will be cleaner for less when booked in advance, but I was stuck in the city late on a Saturday night and I took this option (there were others at similar prices). Again, there are issues here BUT the great staff plus the breakfast (and the bed seemed fair even though one side of sheets weren't tucked in) help balance things out to a degree.
Can't say enough about the staff member who greeted me on the night. Went above and beyond to help me. The fact that this has a lift is really good. It included breakfast too which I was happy with. Breakfast staff were also super nice. Room cost £59 late on a Saturday night.

United KingdomThe room was very small and bed located against the wall on three sides. The room was as clean as could be expected. The bathroom was very small and shower was almost too small to use. It was only 600mm x 600mm. The bathroom was not very clean with dirt and hair on plug in middle of floor. The whole building is need of refurbishment and decoration.
Location was very good for what we wanted. 5 minutes walk to Kings Cross and Underground. Breakfast was ok. Full cooked with choice of cereal as well.
