No parking , nearest car park about 10 mins away and costs £22.00 a day. My friend slipped on the front door mat, its not fixed and very slippery, and hurt his knees and elbow. One wc/ shower room was a bit frustrating.

Very close to the centre of York and its amenities. Nice quiet area. The house was spacious and well appointed. Only one wc/shower room, so could be a bit congested. However, for two couples( good friends) sharing, this was an absolute gem and it boasts a cosy outside patio area for evening drinks.

Our only real niggle was the parking situation. We were initially advised that overnight parking would be around £16, but it actually worked out to a rather pricey £22.50 per day. While getting to the car park was easy and it was only a brief 8-minute walk back to the accommodation, the cost was definitely higher than anticipated. Despite the parking cost, it absolutely would not stop us from revisiting! We would simply factor that into our budget for our next trip. The fantastic location and otherwise excellent accommodation make this a place we would happily return to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay in York! The accommodation boasts a truly great location, offering a leisurely ten-minute walk into the charming old town. This central spot provided easy access to a fantastic array of eating and drinking establishments, as well as the picturesque River Ouse, perfect for an evening stroll. The accommodation itself was good, clean, and felt wonderfully fresh – a real home away from home. We particularly appreciated the fans in the bedrooms, a thoughtful touch. While the bedding was geared for winter, we experienced some amazing warm weather during our visit, which did make for a slightly uncomfortable night's sleep. However, this minor point certainly couldn't fault the overall comfort and cleanliness of the place.

Backyard had a lot of spiders webs. Place could do with a bottle of spray cleaner and a roll of kitchen roll.

Great gift bag on arrival. Space, and beds were amazing.

My mum & our daughter commented that bedrooms upstairs were extremely warm on a night time but they slept with the windows open to combat this.

The location was fantastic! So close to the town center & on a fantastic quiet street! We are a family of 4 adults & our 1yr old grandchild the house was the perfect size for us. We enjoyed the open plan kitchen & sofa room as it gave us quality time as a family plus the patio doors to the courtyard is a lovely addition. Myself & my husband slept on the sofa bed in the front room which was surprisingly comfortable. We brought along our own travel cot which fit comfortably in the front bedroom with our daughter. My mum & our daughter both commented that the beds are so comfortable “you sink into them”. The house had everything you could possibly need & the addition of the welcome hamper filled with lots of Yorkshire goodies was a wonderful surprise. We highly recommend property & for another future family stay in York we’ll definitely rebook! The customer service from Stays York about check in & any questions we had was also five stars

It literally had everything you could possibly need from kitchen appliances/cutlery, even condiments! Every room had an Alexa and tv with fire stick. It was really close to the town centre. Everything was a short walk! They left us this lovely welcoming hamper and Prosecco with easily £50 worth of locally sourced goodies!

The bathroom is small, poor ventilation. Opened window to let the steam escape. Needs a shower door because the floor gets soaked.

So spacious! It was nice to spread out and have some privacy.

Would have been better with another toilet. Property was not ready for 4pm..actually 6pm and had to go away and come back later!

The only negative point was that there was a lack of storage for clothes in the bedroom. While I appreciate it's a limited space, for the longer stay that we had booked, it proved a bit of an inconvenience.

It was warm, welcoming, and everything was very well-equipped. We had everything we needed and more in the living spaces. It was not only comfortable, but very practical.

Our own fault but the bathroom shower was a bit too slippy for our elderly relative to confidently use. We should have been more thorough when we booked to check for any steps and a handrail.

Great location, dog friendly and a comfortable sofa bed that we ended up using for our elderly relative as the stairs were too steep for her. The hamper was so generous and plenty of comfort for our short stay.

Did not like the rules in the information pack that we had to keep it clean and tidy during our stay and that we would get additional cost if we did not empty the bins,dishwasher,fridge freezer and tidy up

Maggie's place was even better than expected. It has the perfect location for an easy and short walk into the center of York. It is modern, clean and very comfortable. It has all the conveniences you could possibly want, pots, pans coffee machine, kettle, toaster etc. We also very much liked the welcome basket of local produce, unexpected but a very nice touch.
