The hotel was a little dated, we struggled to lock the room door and we felt the price was a bit high for the room and facilities. The shower was nice and hot but the pressure was awful.

The area is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. The staff were kind and attentive and the bed was very comfortable. We booked last minute and were well looked after.

No lift and our room was on the 2nd floor. My elderly mum struggled but it was my own fault, I should have checked first.

The food is fabulous. The staff are so friendly and the real fires create such a relaxing atmosphere. David makes the best cocktails!

the hotel is beautiful old building with lots of character and charm staff were really pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good lots of cosy fires we had a suite which was a super size and very comfortable

This is a 3-star hotel. The price reflects this. The building is fabulous. However, it is tired, it needs some TLC and a deep clean

I think abit of decor needs doing but this didnt really bother us. And for sure 100% the matress needs changing in the room we stayed in because i had a bad back each morning .

I loved the people the staff ,all the food was great . It had a lovely historic lounge with a blazing fire ,lovely old staircases and ceiling .

Bed wasnt the best quite squeaky could probs do with a new mattress but still got an OK sleep.

Fab hotel really nice features to it. Amazing stair case leading up to the bedrooms. Lovely lady who we chatted to over breakfast. Room was an OK size had a beautiful view in the morning. Breakfast was lovely. Overall a lovely place to stay.

The entrance and staircase are proper olde worlde, with some lovely antique furnishings, and embellishments, breakfast was really good, but the best feature was the waitress, she had some fantastic banter with the customers while giving excellent service!

The shower is slow and the room was cold due to it being a very old house. There was a fan heater provided. But we WILL be back

In places the property is a little tired but this is what we would expect with a really old characteristic property and it did not detract from the pleasure of our stay at all

The welcome was exceptional and our dog was really welcomed and made a fuss of All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to help The food was amazing , we had the 3 courses both nights as the value was too good to pass by!!! A testimony to Maenan Abbey was that the chef had been there for 30 years and a lot of the guests were returning guests which I think is a huge compliment , it is a great location for sight seeing , Betws Y Coed a few minutes drive away , and a dog park in LLANWRST itself I We will definitely return here
