Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The rooms were tired and in need of redecorating. The bar food was not value for money not of good quality. Reception staff unsure and lacked customer service , not welcoming. No lift to 3rd floor bedrooms and stairs from floor 2 to 3 were unstable creaking. Also carrying luggage could be difficult for some.
Shuttle bus was on time and efficient. Although the cost was unexpected and would assume that it should be a courtesy service. Driver pleasant helpful .

Soup omg amazing it was very clean and staff excellsnt
We paid £55 so got £55 worth. The staff excellent . The room was clean . The food , soup amazing the main not great. But the other food did look good . I had steak it tough partner had fish and chips . This was dry. Room very small bed very small heating or air co did t work .

I was down staying here for work related reasons. Hotel staff and location. Unfortunately the shower was absolutely shocking and changed temperature 4 times out of the 6 times off using it and I have burnt my back and shoulders which is totally unacceptable. My work colleague was in a different room and had no problem with shower. I was in room 138 and would like some sort of refund as that’s ridiculous. I should not be getting burnt from shower water when not touching the shower mixer. I have had to get cream and in pain from it. I have booked on booking.com on many off occasions as you can tell by my profile and not had this kind of problem before. I’m so upset by these facilities.
Friendly staff and good location. Can’t complain about that.

Reception staff didn’t tell us much, had to ask about everything. The lift was far too small & not clearly marked. The room was very small, with the double bed pushed up against the wall, so only access for 1 person! The curtains & bed base were stained & the paint peeling on the walls. Needs some TLC!
Nice entrance with a ramp for access & a useful luggage scales. Lovely food & very helpful & friendly bar staff. Has a pool & spa, but unfortunately didn’t get to see it.

The room smelt damp-bathroom had black mold, the tv didn’t work, room extremely small but you could fit a family of 8 in there due to the bunk beds that were taking up the room. Wallpaper hanging off the wall, heavy duty dust all over. I paid £35 the previous week for a premier inn which was basic but clean and tidy. This was £49 and was horrendous. Needs upgrading with a cleaner and a lick of paint for starters.

VERY Lumpy uncomfortable pillows and only two! Duvet too thick no alternative! VERY bad nights sleep No phone to call reception VERY small bath towels VERY small bath! No charging point by bed No free wifi Room very warm.. heating/fan difficult to work! Did open window but not ideal because of planes! Noisy man in next room till late!(not hotels fault though!)

A little ‘dusty’ in places, but probably due to staff shortages than a lack of caring. The extra charge for WiFi was a shock!!!
The friendly and welcoming staff were brilliant! The value for money accommodation and food & drink prices were great. The pizza was very good and the location to the airport was excellent… Bedding and towels were spotless and of good quality too. Lovely National Trust walkways across the river and lots of lovely hidden garden areas dotted about the hotel.

For the one night the room was nice however the bed was uncomfortable. Mattress was squeaky and the pillows were to big and too firm, leaving my beak at an awkward and uncomfortable angle, resulting in a poor nights sleep.
The staff were super helpful and friendly!! The bar tender made us feel welcome and special when he served us!! Being next to the airport I was expecting it to be noisy but it was actually nice and quiet!!
