Very good accomodation in Yeovil for short-term stays

-the hairdryer was awful - it was very sticky to touch and had a very small lead so I had to hunch on the floor. It was also very very hot with no cold option so my head felt on fire. Clearly a relic from the 1980s - just needs to be replaced -very tight on car parking spaces , we arrived late at night and managed to grab the last one ! This is a big thing for me as I always filter hotel choices to have free car parking included, so I would have been quite perturbed if I hadntve got the space. Nevertheless we did

-good location in the centre of Yeovil -pub downstairs was decent, probably one of the better pubs in Yeovil -good sized room with comfy beds -bathroom a decent size with good shower pressure -cleaned everyday fresh -warm and comfortable room, quite dated yes but nothing like other reviews are describing - it isn't mouldy or damp or freezing at all. Quite the opposite -breakfast wasn't included in our rate but we had it anyway on the last morning and it was nice and did the job. The orange juice is very sweet and cold and lovely

Everything needs a bit of freshening up. Not necessarily modernising, just fresh paint. Some of the fittings, taps etc, were dated and difficult to operate with arthritic hands. Restaurant disappointing.

Lovely old building. Comfortable and relaxed bar area Spacious room.

One breakfast was excellent. However second one was not good. I had a taxi to station booked for 0730 so came down for start of service at 0700. Ordered cooked breakfast but still had not arrived by 0725 when I had to leave restaurant area. Paid £10 for a coffee and bowl of cereal therefore: not good value! No orange juice available and no pastries at all unlike first day. I was told my scrambled eggs were being plated at 0715! Really? Sharpen up your service in this department!!!

Overall good experience. Staff helpful. Food was good indeed.

The noise of the floor above our room. Extremely noisy floorboards, especially when someone is moving around all night.

It was convenient for the wedding location we were going to.

The room smelt a bit musty but got better when we opened the window. Decor was dated and the single beds were on castors that weren’t locked so if you sat on the edge you went skating across the room. The bathroom lino was coming away from the bath. There wasn’t many options for gluten free or vegan. The only milk alternative is soya. The staff were really accommodating though and they gave me gluten free bread which was appreciated :)

The main part of the building was stunning. The breakfast was nice. It was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly.

Typical Green King hotel - acceptable

All the rooms are noisy - i have stayed here a lot. The coach house has very creaky floor boards, which are noisy if you are on the ground floor and have a guests above. I resent the random calls late on a Sunday night trying to get me to book a table at he restaurant. I have eaten here 2 or 3 times and the food is best described as edible, with very slow service. Much better offerings in the town.

Hotel is in a great location and is generally clean and tidy and is perfectly acceptable for a work visit.

Maybe the decor within the room, but this would put the price up.

Fantastic place right by the centre of Yeovil. Staff were fantastic and very welcoming and accommodating. The room and bathroom were a bit dated but this added to its charm. The room was immaculately clean. Had evening meal there and it was 5 stars. An excellent price for the quality and standard of food with a good choice of drinks. Bed was big and comfortable. Didn’t have breakfast as not morning food people. The breakfasts we did see looked huge and high quality. I thoroughly recommend the place and will definitely go back there.

    perhaps better shower

very , very affordable, black friday sale - £30 for the night for our work's Christmas Do - nice comfy bed, although some parts of the main part of the hotel could do with revamping, as I stayed in the stables part of the Manor, which has nicer rooms I think.
