What a find this is. Everything I mean everything was just superb. The evening meals top class, breakfast was fresh and tasty. The private king room was so clean, warm and very comfortable, the walk in shower was amazing. The landlady and all her staff were just excellent, couldn't do enough for us, nothing was any trouble. We so hope we can stay here again.

Rooms were slightly tired but this was due to an imminent takeover and therefore perfectly understandable in the circumstances. This in no way affected the enjoyment of my stay though.

Breakfast and dinner were superb. Clearly a very talented chef works there! Staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. the actual inn was very atmospheric; a beautiful building.

It is really hard to think of anything I didn't like If I had to be picky I would say maybe make the recetion/check in a bit more obvious.... And maybe offer a longer serving time for breakfast.

Large modern well equipped room. Great staff who were helpful and welcoming at all times. Hot Breakfast choice was excellent.

Hard, low bed, and hard chairs, so not very comfortable to sit in room. Shower tray needed the black mould removed from low down and corners, and the shower spray fitting was missing. Do check before arriving if any food will be available as kitchen closes at 7pm on Sundays, (arrived at 7.20pm) so had to drive away again to find some dinner. Bar staff helpfully recommended a nearby town but I would have preferred to eat in the bar and settle in for the evening.

Peaceful, rural location in a pretty village. Friendly staff. Breakfast good. Lovely place in interesting old building, would stay there again.

We had dinner one evening and breakfast each day. On each occasion we found the food and service to be very good. In general the hotel has a relaxed, homely atmosphere which suits it well. Our rooms in the mews were comfortable and well furnished albeit the decor is due for refreshment, now being past its prime. Overall we enjoyed our stay - it made for a relaxing weekend.

The bed was very low for those of us in the arthritic stage of life 😞 Breakfast service was only for one hour, 8am - 9am, including Sunday, so you couldn't enjoy much of a lie-in. The rain-shower in the bathroom was spacious but an additional hand-held shower unit would make it better.

Watching the strings of racehorses going off to the gallops from a nearby stables every morning. The local beer was great too!

Delightful period inn full of character in a the village of Ditcheat, also full of historical interest and if you like horses and racing you’ll feel right at home here.
