It was on a golf course, which my husband was really excited about, except he couldn’t get a slot at all to play, and when he wanted to use the driving range, the machine that drives the balls was broken, so it was closed. That was the only disappointing thing about our stay.

Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from the king scallops which really put a damper on our weekend as I was extremely unwell when waking up on Sunday.

The staff were all great, but Nicola on the front reception & Jayden at the bar really stood out & went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable & welcome. Nicola was extremely helpful during the checkin process & nothing was too much trouble. Jayden made the best cocktails I think I’ve ever had!

Good wasn’t great. Real lack of healthy options and vegetables/fruits on the menu. Quite expensive for the quality of food. Rooms were amazing. Was a little disappointed to see radiators in bathroom were covered in dust and there was dust and hair on the bathroom floor

The fact it was in the middle of a golf course which meant that what could have been a very pleasant walk was ruined. {with apologies to Mark Twain]

It all went well, the use of the pool in the morning, the Easter Egg Hunt [my Grandaughter was particularly ruthless in her search]. The room was fine, breakfast was very good.

The restaurant- seriously overpriced for what it was. I was very underwhelmed with the service and the food. When we checked in they said there were no bookings available for food until 9pm! The waitress was clueless about the wines and most of them on the menu were unavailable! My wine was warm and I had to ask for ice twice! There was no cutlery laid for my place setting. 12.5% service charge for average food and service. Drinks also very expensive! £14 for a cocktail! I really was expecting more from this hotel stay, but came away feeling quite disappointed on what should have been a special anniversary celebration. I probably would not return here…

Love the place. But drinks and food was way to expensive so we drove out and had a meal and drinks outside the Marriott . drink and food was cheaperwould have stayed there all night

I found the food in the evening quite expensive, we ordered room service from the bar menu but felt it was a LOT of money for what it was.

Great sized room, plenty of space for the 4 of us. The staff member at breakfast was very helpful and kind, doing us a deal for the little ones. We had a great time then in the leisure facilities afterwards and would have stayed longer if we could.

In general food was really good but we ordered a Steak which was very overpriced and only came with one small tomato. Waiter did say they were aware of this and looking into changing menus. I don’t normally complain as everyone’s expectations are different but this was too poor to ignore.

No robes after asking well before hand and having to order Then only towels for 2 people Again had to chase that up Room service one hour to wait still nothing Then chased up again and another 45 mins No chairs or beds around pool So was supposed to be a relaxing time and constantly chasing things up And lakeside rooms more like houses that need a good paint

the TV remote was very dusty, the toiletries were near empty but that didn't spoil my stay.

what was not to like really, the front desk staff were very very welcoming, nothing was to much trouble, breakfast was delicious, the food was of very high quality
