Tracey met us on our arrival and took us through the property. She was absolutely delightful. The property is actually a full, well equiped apartment. It was very clean, warm and comfortable. Could not have been happier with our stay and highly recommend.

I think you have to be aware it is in a residential area. If that bothers you, it's probably not for you.

Bright, comfortable apartment with a nice sense of history behind it. Clean with everything you could require. One of the nicest I've stayed in.

Nothing it was perfect.

What a lovely apartment and castle located in the lovely little town of menstrie, it was in the middle of everything so we could venture out. The apartment was spotless with little treats for our stay and a list of places to visit left by the wonderful Tracey and Douglas. I would definately stay here again and will be reccomending to my family and friends. 😁

That we accidentally locked ourselves out. But the owner was amazing and helped us despite being in Spain.

Loved the location, cleanliness and all the little touches, Caramels. Even the creepy dungeon made clothes washing more fun!!

The only issue that we experienced was the shower, very slow drainage meaning we had to use the small shower head with very low pressure, and under 5 minutes to avoid water spilling out of the shower tray. It’s difficult if you have longer hair & need to thoroughly wash your hair & have a proper shower (might be wise to go to a local hair dresser for people with longer hair).

The property was set in a quiet location with very friendly neighbours & lovely scenery. Our host was fabulous, welcoming & communicative - there was a wealth of helpful information sent to us prior to our stay & also available at the property, giving good tips & facts about the local area. The property had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. We really appreciated the little extras such as tea, coffee, biscuits - lovely touch!! There were always parking spaces available at the side of the road & we felt it was a safe area. Nice local walks & the local post office/convenience store had a good variety of food choices for sale.

It was very clean a quiet location and not very far from Stirling and all the sights. Who wouldn’t want to stay in a castle.

The property itself was amazing, however, pictures made it seem like it was in the country, not in the middle of the town. I was also surprised to have apartments surrounding the property.

The apartment was spotless! We loved having a washer AND dryer to wash our clothes! The owner was very nice and sweet!

The shower situation was less than ideal. As the signage in the bathroom stated, "the pipes are old and narrow ( it's a castle) so expect slow drainage". The drainage was extremely slow so we limited our use of the shower.

Such a cool experience!! The apartment was huge covering two floors-- everyone got their own room. The kitchen was spectacular with all the amenities. Beds were sooooo comfortable and the place felt very relaxed. The location was outside of Stirling with a short drive into town.The check-in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The dungeon door to the laundry was cool. Would loved to have stayed longer. Will recommend to others.

The only downside is the location being surrounded by other apartments. But the town of Menstrie was so cute and quaint, and we especially liked the Coffee Bothy.

The large bedroom mountain facing window was rattling a little during the night from the wind and woke us a couple of times, but I just hung a bag on the handle and it stopped. Other than that no issues at all!
